he hasn't done the"thanks Boston" shtick that they do on the way out. Its like he doesn't give a blank about the city. Kemba already thanked charlotte

Highlights of his performance against the Bucks. Maybe they’re lowlights, but still. I’d play that
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I doubt it simply because the risk of embarrassment is so high - I believe there is NOTHING redeeming about Kyrie's stint here.  Ray Allen (as much I hated his decision to leave) helped win Boston a title.  He's the only reasonable "comp" with regard to a guy who left in an unpopular way.

The bigger question might be: If you don't tribute Kyrie, what do you do about Al?  IMO -- Al gets a video (people will cheer).  Kyrie would be booed throughout his video and this would be ugly. Some will want it for that reason.   I think it would just look bad.

First thing on the video should be that shameless, posturing, self-serving, self aggrandizing, falsely modest clip when he said:

“IF YOU GUYS WILL HAVE ME.....I’ll be back” and the crowd went wild.

Second thing should be that commercial With his dad and his number 11 being retired with the Celtics as his goal.

Tribute video? No

Embarrassment video?...Absolutely

Hell no. Played a major role in tanking this team with his diva ways and his p--- poor leadership, and he has apparently been working on teaming up with Durant for a year now, even while committing to Boston in the preseason and putting out a Nike commercial that he wants his jersey in the banner. Dude can kick rocks like the perpetual malcontent that he is.

Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:
Quote
At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I hate that this even warrants a discussion, but I guess it’s just how it works now.

Al was a great guy, hard worker, and a good leader.  An Allstar for one season.

I love the guy and wish we had more like him here but he was here for what?  3 seasons?  You don’t get a tribute and a standing ovation for three seasons and no trips to the finals.

This has become the NBAs version of the ‘everyone gets a trophy’ problem with little league sports.

Al left for the money, and he really deserves it, but that’s where it ends.
