You don't pay 31 million for Hayward to be a 6th man. He will start.

I think so also

but it can't be like this past season

no more experiments.  Hayward needs to be back to at least 85-90 percent of his old self. Otherwise come off the bench again

C - Kanter
F- Hayward
F- Tatum
G- Brown
G- Walker

C- Timelord
F- Gwilliams
F- Semi
G- Smart
G- Edwards

Extras

Yabu
Langford
Waters

Walker/Smart
Brown/Langford
Hayward/Ojeleye
Tatum/G. Williams
Kanter/Theis

If we sign Vincent Poirier, I値l be very happy with this rotation. Maybe add in another vet big man at some point, but I like it.

Saw something that Boston still was chasing a defensive big with whatever exception they have left.

I would be happy with McGee.

I am mostly worried about our bench right now.  With Kanter as our starting Center at least we can put out an NBA level starting lineup.  Not so convinced about the bench yet.

If you assume that Smart is the 6th man, you have him and Semi and maybe Theis as the only rotation worthy players right now.  Hopefully we can pick up someone to score off the bench.

Smart as the primary guard backup.

Edwards getting depth guard minutes.

Langford and Semi splitting backup minutes on the wing.

Grant and Theis (assuming he's re-signed) getting backup minutes at the 4 and 5.

Timelord and Theis playing minutes at the 5.

It's not terrible.  A lot of young guys.  But they're not going to be expecting more than 10-15 mpg out of anybody who hasn't played a regular rotation role in the past.

Here is my take on what we have now.  The first unit will score and  Our second unit will play defense.

Walker/Smart
Brown/Langford
Hayward/Ojeleye
Tatum/Theis
Kanter/Williams

Is it terrible? No. Buts it's also not at all proven. You have alit of rookies or minimum level guys getting minutes. I think we will se alit if staggering the starters so that two play with the reserves.

I see Edwards earning a spot in the second unit. Will need more offense. That lineup has no scoring.

I doubt you will see much of a pure second unit. I expect there will be at least one starter on the floor most of the time.

I agree.  Brad's going to have to make sure that one of Kemba, Tatum, or Hayward is on the floor pretty much always.

The Celts will absolutely need some of these young bigs to step up.

20 mpg seems like a lot for Semi, as does 16 for Time Lord.

I think 15-20 for Semi is reasonable. With the lack of quality bigs on the roster, I think you will see Semi play a lot at the 4.

Timelord will be given minutes to learn and grow imo since he's pretty much all we have for rim protection. If he's not ready I could see Theis playing those minutes.
