47-66 for France with less than 15 mins left

havent watched any of greece playing lol xd got completely turned off when i found out giannis aint playing

Calathes is our best guard. Let that sink in.

Having said that, Thanassis looks good rn. We have to play fast and he is prolly our best finisher at fast breaks.

.........from Diamantidis, Spanoulis, Papaloukas, to Calathes being our best guard.... jesus
...I'd kill to get a starting PG of Calathes' caliber on the HK bball team, he's no slouch.

Slovenia 78 - Greece 72 game just ended.
Two quick notes.
Slovenia is clearly a candidate for a medal. Looks like Dragić is chanelling his inner Tony Parker from Eurobasket 2013 .
Greece plays smart and organized but lacks elite individual quality (Giannis).

Sad watching Greece play now. They have zero shot creators. Went from having two of the best in Europe (3D and V Span) to having absolutely nobody.

Giannis backing out a couple of weeks ago was the nail in the coffin for this team.

I'm other news, Papagiannis seemed promising!

In large parts of the game plays pretty dumb too. It is more than obvious that the team  desperately need a leader though..... The last two mins of the game were a disaster in every aspect !!!

I am not so high on Slovenia....At least Serbia , Spain, Russia , Turkey  look better

Didn't watch today's game - let's say I had a premonition. Dario, Doncic is 18, otherwise he would have declared for the draft this year.

@Androslav I also like the Slovenian team quite a lot. Let's see how far they can go.

Yes, otherwise he might have been chosen number one pick overall this year. Amazing skillset.

It's the only game I've seen apart from Spain, I hope to follow the competition closely from now on.

Amazing Poland and Finland duel going on. This is why I love basketball. Overtimes, Finland coming back from -9 within last minute, the hustle, Markannen scoring 2 baskets to enter 2 OTs... crazy.

Markannen 27p, 9r, key steal, 2 a, impressive shotmaking ability.

Ugh. I hate it. We had Finland on the ropes with less than a minute to go. Stupid TO and we threw the win away. Heartbreaking.
But yeah, that Markannen kid is quite good, much more athletic than I imagined.

Lauri Markannen is blowing my mind.  He's twenty!!  Twenty year olds don't perform like that at that level of international competition.  Until now!

Stunning.

Bulls may have won the trade with Markannen showing that much promise, I really like what he showed in this tournament.

We've been quite solid right now and, what matters the most, integrating new players into the rotation looking into the future.

Pau Gasol and Navarro are 37, Rudy and Marc 32 and veterans such as Felipe Reyes or Calderón won't play anymore with the national team. It was needed.
