Truthfully, I expect a loss by 15+ points.

WITH THAT SAID, the way this stupid season has gone it also wouldn't surprise me to see this team win tonight. On the other hand, if we did somehow win w/o Kyrie, then boy the hot takes will get wild again  :P
Our record on the road without Kyrie is really bad.
Hoping for a surprise

Yep. I just hope we show legitimate effort out there make it a game. But if we come out 100% flat and get blown out by like 30+, then YIKES.

Definitely need a win tonight to stop the bleeding. The Sixers are riding high right now with their in-season acquisitions like Butler and Harris and blew out the Lakers on Sunday behind Embiid's monster game.

We need to sneak into Philly tonight and bring them down to earth (even without Kyrie.)

Also, if I am Stevens, I consider a line-up change

I wouldn't mind starting Marcus at PG and Jaylen at SG. Brown has earned more minutes and I feel Smart is a better point guard than Rozier.

I wanted to point out how the C's are 5-2 against MIL, TOR, and PHI, but looking a little closer at those games, turns out all but 1 were at home.

Kind of crazy at this point in the season to have played those teams a combined 7 times but only once on the road.  Record goes to 6-3, with only 2 away games if we add in Indiana.

Takes a little glitz off that 5-2 (or 6-3) record knowing that it's predominantly home games.  Not that it's not good, just not as great as I thought it was.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Time for this team especially the kids to put there money where there mouth is.  If they don’t win or aren’t competitive in this game then they all need to just shut the hell up!

Smart was drafted to be rondos replacement.  He’s never gotten a chance because Danny’s obsession with point guards

We were having great difficulty rising to the top of the East before the trade deadline, and DA was completely outmaneuvered with all our top competitiors improving themselves substantially.  Philly probably the most with their starting lineup probably second only to GSW.  They also shored up their bench.  We, of course, did nothing, and I only see us further slipping down in the East standings, perhaps to sixth.
Tonite is gonna be very ugly on their floor, and their fans will be absolutely rockin'.  Will take our best effort to avoid an absolute blowout!

Way too much pessimism in this thread. Rozier's going to break 20 points and the rest of the youth movement will kick in.

We're winning this one!

Am resigned to finishing 4th or 5th.  If Philly finishes top 3, we would face Indy in first round, and, if we beat Indy, probably Toronto 2nd round, assuming they lock 2nd position. That way Philly and Bucks would battle out in 2nd round, which would be better for us.

Philly probably smells blood tonight.  Hoping we keep it competitive.  Without Baynes and Kyrie that may not be possible.

If Celts are 4 or 5 then they will face the #1 seed Bucks in the 2nd round.

It's 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

If Toronto is the #2 seed then they will face the winner of the #3 seed vs. the #6 seed.

I am bummed that we don't have Kyrie for this game. I would have liked to have seen the matchup at full strength. I know the naysayers will be out in full force and talking about how great philly is if we lose. So I am really not looking forward to a loss.

This team is so up and down.  Honestly I expect them to come out and play really well tonight.
Would love to see a tough win on the road against these guys w/out Kyrie and Baynes.
Go C's!!!!

Shoot, you're right. Now I'm more bummed. TP for correction.

Means the Celtics get the short-end of the stick, playing a tough Oladipo-less Pacers before flying to Milwaukee, and then play the winner of 76ers and Raptors.

4-5 seed is possibly the worst outcome to have.

Yes, so there is real incentive to try to grab 3 spot, since I'd rather face Toronto in round 2 than Milwaukee. Of course nothing taken for granted, including getting by round 1. As of today, confidence level is low.

Yes, that getting that 3 spot is crucial. Therefore, due to our recent losses, this game has become very important.
