Dwight Howard's deal with the Lakers will be non-guaranteed, league source tells ESPN. Howard had several meetings with Lakers officials, and they'll give him a chance to show he's made changes in how he conducts himself. Lakers players were involved in process.

Dang, that seems like quite a financial commitment for a guy who is pretty injury-prone. If he can maintain health that's fair, but that's a big if

If he maintains his health that is a bargain.  Of course, that is why the contract is what it is, his health is a real concern.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah, I was high on him for MIP before he dislocated his foot, or whatever he did. If he can get back to close to his pre-injury form (say, 17-4-4) and manage ~60 games a season I think that's a solid deal. Especially considering BKN has to go all-in

Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon has agreed to a three-year, $54.5 million contract extension that will take him through the 2022-23 season, league sources told ESPN.

Gordon's deal -- which starts with the 2020-21 season -- includes a $20.9 million season in 2023-24 that would become guaranteed if Gordon makes an All-Star team or the Rockets win an NBA championship during the course of the deal, league sources said.

The Houston Chronicle first reported an extension had been reached.

Gordon, 30, was entering the final year of his contract in 2019-20, which is worth $14 million.

Who? George, Leonard, and Durant are all not going anywhere?

Thinking Bradley Beal?

Otherwise, I don't see any "superstars" available. Maybe high level starters.

Yup, easy to predict that due to opportunity, he will have a better season statistically than Gordon.
