KG did a very goood job on lewis..he may be one of orlando's X men..he can be very dangerous

i agree...he only scored 8 points but had 11 boards and played great defense

This team should be called the Road Warriors.  Great win, I dislike seeing them blow large leads in the second half, but I'll live with it if they continue to pull out the W's.

my favorite part of all this is seeing these Celtics playing that textbook team man-to-man again with focus and precision - god, they are beautiful to watch on the defensive end.

Can't wait to see how the national media tries to spin this.

I can't believe we won. I thought we'd just give them a scare today. Very happy we won. I know it's greedy to ask them win the next one but I would love to go up 2-0. Really hope we take good lessons from today and try to counter the adjustments the Magic will make.

I hear we blew a big lead I'll wait till I watch the replay to decide how I feel about that but for now I'll say I much prefer a failed comeback to a loss. Hopefully it'll keep us on our toes going forward.

I see Paul celebrated seeing a new face on defense in a big way. The efficiency of his statline almost brought tears to my eyes.

Yup.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

i'll tell you how - orlando was rusty and off rhythm - not much credit to the celtics. probably for the best though - keep that chip on the Celts' shoulders.

"Unbeatable in the first two rounds of the playoffs, the Orlando Magic apparently lost their rhythm somewhere before the start of the Eastern Conference finals.

Showing the rust from nearly a week off -- or from barely being challenged by Charlotte and Atlanta in the first two postseason rounds -- the Magic never totally overcame an awful start and lost Game 1 of the East finals to the Boston Celtics 92-88 on Sunday. "

So Happy!
So Excited!

My wife and I (and baby, and mother-in-law) are out of town, on the other side of the country, and, after a long, long, long plane ride (the baby is 4 months old, and it was his first cross country flight), just checked in to find out that .. hooorrrraaaaay!

Ahhhh.  I will sleep soundly tonight.  Let's just hope the baby does too.
Celtics fan for life.

OMG this ridiculous interview with Dwight is embarrassingly bad. I take back every mean thing I've said about the ABC half-time pieces. Those were Peabody award worthy compared to this.

I didn't watch the game, but can I ask, did we win today's game because of Orlando being rusty? If not, was their mini-comeback at the end due to lapses in our defence rather than them getting their rythm back?
Anything is possible!!!

We won this game because we played lock down D for 3 quarters and pushed the ball on offense. In the 4th, up by 17, we started playing drain the clock. We stopped pushing the ball on offense and got away from ball movement and team ball, which lead to a 5 minute scoring drought that allowed the Magic back in the game. I don't know how many times Doc can tell these guys the same thing about playing TOGETHER, focused for 48 minutes but this coddling leads and going to isos with 7-8 minutes left in the game has to stop.
Never stop believing baby~
