I'm confident that Danny can put together the talent for Stevens to mold into a contender. I think that will take at least a couple more years.
What people so often underestimate -- especially after things came together so quickly following the KG / Allen trades -- is the amount of time it usually takes for even a very talented group to come together.
Unless you're bringing together a bunch of superstars (and not even necessarily in that case), the team probably won't be one of the true blue contenders right away. It's called "reBUILDING" for a reason. You have to build your way up, not simply pull the trigger and presto! contender status!
I'm optimistic that the team will be on a clear path toward contender status in two to three years. But as for actual contention? I think that's probably half a decade away, if we're lucky.
