Ugly game for the Pats offense. Maybe people will again start talking about Brady getting old and it'll spark him, because he was bad today, along with the rest of the offense. GREAT JOB by the defense.

I wouldn't say cooked but he is more league average now. I think next season the job will be up for grabs. He makes too much money to be this poor a kicker.

Hate to admit it but:

Pats really could have used Antonio Brown today.

Or Pats really could have used Isaiah Wynn, David Andrews, and James Develin and Brady would have dissected that Buffalo defense apart.

I feel like we’re not giving the bills enough credit. That was a heck of a football game, what a great match to watch. Hopefully, they continue to be tough and give us a run. As much as I love the pats, it gets dull watching them go up by 20 in the first 8 minutes of the game.
2019 Historical Draft - Golden State

C - Bill Russell/Joel Embiid
PF - Giannis Antetokounmpo/Tommy Heinsohn
SF - Kevin Durant/Billy Cunningham
SG - Bruce Bowen/David Thompson
PG - Isiah Thomas/James Harden

Yeah, the Bills are solid. No strong scalps so far this season, but they have a pretty good defence. Josh Allen is also promising, and Frank Gore has been good for 15 years.

Agreed. The offense was horrendous. I think the Pats made a mistake releasing Antonio. Keep him on the team to help the offense, and if the league suspends him, then so be it. Leave it up to the NFL, but they shouldn't have released him.

Not to mention, Robert Kraft is no position to release anyone because of behavior outside the field.

Anyway, yeah the defense saved the day, AGAIN. 3 interceptions, a turnover lead to a touchdown and countless sacks on Josh Allen and the backup (not to mention knocking Allen out of the game.)

Issues going forward: The offensive line, Edelman needs to get healthy, need to see more from Josh Gordon, Brady needs to stop with all the running plays.

Is Gostkowski cooked?

Seems that way. I was literally waiting for that missed FG to be the difference maker in a 17-16 loss.

4 missed PATs so far this season I think, IIRC. To the poster who said he's merely regressed to being league average - I think that those kind of numbers are definitely below average. Good kicking games have saved us in postseasons previously, so I don't think it's something we can afford to just sort of let be poor.

Unless there is something to the adjustment to a new holder thing, I can't fathom that BB isn't thinking regularly about how to upgrade his kicker.

Yeah, maybe that's it, but you'd think (or maybe hope) that it a) shouldn't take this long and b) shouldn't be this drastic of an issue.

If there's one thing I'm confident in it's BB always looking for ways to improve. Relentlessly so.

Hate to admit it but:

Pats really could have used Antonio Brown today.

Hard not to think this today.
I was thinking they could have really used Gronk. Better blocking and an elite pass receiver.

They're missing Develin a lot as well. He's one of those guys that you never notice when he's there because he makes other players better, but you notice when he's not. We need to fix our O-line more than we need AB in my opinion. Definitely AB would have made this team better, but the problems with the offense aren't the lack of quality targets.

Gotta give the Bills credit too, their defense is the real deal. But glass half full view - we played terrible and still won away from home.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

EDIT-4 interceptions yesterday actually (forgot Van Noy's sack which led to Collins' interception) and JC Jackson with 2 of them.

Defensive battle.  I think a lot of credit should be given to Buffalo's defense.  They played a heckuva game.   Definitely flustered Brady but I think its an overreaction to call it "lack of weaponz" or something along those lines.  It was just a solid defensive game plan by the Bills plus they were playing at home in front of a jacked up crowd.

Pats D won this game for them.   We'll see what happens come later October & November when the schedule gets tougher but, right now, this defense is shaping up to be the best one in franchise history. The secondary is playing as good as any secondary I've seen right now.
