Last season we wagered TP’s in Game 7 vs Washington. Lots of action. And good result (for me).

Any chance we could wager on making into 2nd round?  Seems with all the injuries it is close to a 50-50 proposition. Let me know your thoughts. I know mods need to weigh in here.

Thoughts?

I think its a great idea. It would need to be sanctioned by the mods soon though if we want to get the wagers in on time.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
With Home Court and Brad Stevens as coach. I believe. Rozier has to play very well for it to happen. With the way Monroe played last night I think we have a good shot. Larkin also will have to play well too. I would be willing to wager my TP's on it.

I’d like to see who we are playing.

I think my order of preference would be:

Miami
Milwaukee
Washington

Let’s see, Giannis is sitting tonight, but it’s the Knicks, so they could still win. They then play Orlando  and Philly who should still be jockeying for seeding. Prediction: 2-1

Miami plays OKC tomorrow, who still hasn’t clinched so they need the win (especially if Denver holds on to their lead right now and OKC loses in Houston later). They also play Toronto who I’m sure will be resting everyone important. Prediction: 1-1

Washington plays us and Orlando. I think we rest guys agains them. Prediction: 2-0

And now looking at that, that would leave all teams with 44 wins. No clue who holds tiebreakers. This was pointless.

Rozier, brown, tatum, baynes, horford, Monroe, Morris, larkin
Add in Stevens and we are in second round, brown tatum and horford

TP for the idea, footey.

I ran that last year and did all the accounting on it and Redz was kind enough to make the TP adjustments. So you’re  right, a mod needs to make the eventual additions/subtractions, and while it's a bit of work for them, the fact that someone else is doing the paperwork makes it a little more palatable for them.

Just a warning, but it is a bit of work. If I recall correctly, I think that we had 100+ people involved.

Good luck....to both our Cs and to us.

EDIT: I will definitely be wagering. I will wait though to see our opponent to determine the size of my "investment".

I'm in. I bet 1000 Tommy Points that the Celtics get past the 1st round, regardless of who the opponent is.

LOL I remember that! Doing the Tommy Point wagering for the Game 7.

Thank you Olynyk for those extra TP's!

It was a fun experience overall before the game, during the game, and of course, after the game when they won.

I would love to do that again. TP for the idea. While realistically our chances of even making the ECF took a huge hit w/o Kyrie and others, it should still be a fun playoffs seeing the young guys grow and hopefully have career games, and having this TP wagering would add another bit of excitement lol.  ;D

Never heard from mods so I guess not. It’s a lot of work to implement apparently.

We need a mod to be willing to make the adjustments, and one of us to do the record keeping so the mods can make the adjustments from our records.

I nominate footey, since he is the OP, and give him another TP as incentive to do the record keeping.

C’mon footey, I’ve given you two TPs already in this thread....whaddya say?

Also, as a suggestion, wagers close at tip-off, just like with the books.
