Marcus Smart is at his locker, ankle isn’t wrapped, and he’s moving it around and laughing while he talks to people. So concern level certainly looks as low as it can be.

Where was this effort yesterday?
I think they played hard enough, just poor shooting games from Kemba and Smart. The losses this team suffers are night and day from last year's.

I totally agree. They were in the game, they just fell short. It happens. I am glad that we have a great record even with the struggles. Can't wait until April when they have it all together.

New poster..welcome  I gave you your first TP. Now you are one for one.

Post game interview Marcus said if it was a close game he would probably have gone back in, so it doesn't seem serious.

I was actually going to suggest that Smart is a prime candidate for this given the way he plays. I'm not sure how you can do that and not have frequent injuries, and he's certainly had his share throughout his career to date.

He has become so valuable to this team with his improved shooting that they should probably consider it.

On the game, I thought their defense was the difference.  They did a nice job and managed to keep Booker in check. Time Lord to me had a really good game as did Wanamaker who's starting to consistently play pretty well now that he's getting regular minutes. Consistency is what has been lacking from the bottom end of their rotation.  In general the bench guys were real good tonight.

All in all good win, made up for what should have been a win yesterday. Winning one of the LAC and DEN would make this a successful west coast trip.

I think Smart would rather die than be load managed. Like the story about KG refusing to sit out a practice for rest, so Doc had to end it right after it started instead

Smart has that same KG mentality
I'm bitter.

The player who popped with most to me...Grant Williams.

Two big time helpside blocks.

That pick-and-roll as the ball-handler where he got his defender on his hip and worked his way into the lane around the big for the layup. That was awesome.

He might be able to play 3-5 depending on matchups.

I think it was probably his best game so far - at least the one where his contributions stood out the most.  hoping he's turned the corner in terms of putting the ball in the hoop.  adding  7-8 points a game reliably with the possibility of 'exploding' for a dozen in some games would be a significant benefit for this team.  The kid has a lot of skills and a high BBIQ.

I didn't watch the entire second half but Timelord had a horrible first half.

Yes he did.  He was much better in the 2nd half; hit the boards well, set good picks, defended better.

He seems to have gone the the KG school of setting picks.  I am scared every time he is going to get called for an offensive foul on his high screens.

Wanamaker has really stepped up and made the most of his minutes. He has become a real steadying influence on the team. Am particularly impressed with his hands and positioning on defense.

This road trip has been good for the development of our bench as a force.  Once Hayward returns, a bench consisting of Smart, G and R Williams, and Wanamaker should be able to continue the defensive intensity provided by our starters.
