The Warriors are insistent that they did not acquire D’Angelo merely as a trade asset, although that route seems to make the most sense.

It’ll especially be hard to get all these guys the touches they need and deserve once Klay comes back from injury, and until then, a Curry-Russell backcourt May be a defensive nightmare for GS.  If I were the Warriors, knowing the team lacks depth, I would give MIN or ORL a ring and see what I could get. Covington and Teague? Gordon & Augustine?

My answer is I hope so. I’d love to see the Warriors click with this team they have now and wipe the floor with either of the LA teams. But my head says no, and that Russell will be gone by the February deadline.

The defense will be really bad but the offense will be crazy good. They can play together but I'm very unsure of the results.

That isn't the question, the real question is can Curry, Russell, and Thompson play together.

Curry has pretty much shown an ability to play alongside any player GSW has had on their roster.  Even he and Monta Ellis to some extent played OK together.  Curry is a pretty special player that makes teammates better.

I think so.

Even when Klay comes back, I wonder if Kerr attempts playing all 3 guards at the same time with one of them playing the 3.

Not a good idea but nowadays, who knows.

With the staggering of the 3 guards it should be pretty easy to let them start and finish on the floor together in certain matchups and not have huge parts of the game with all on the floor together.  With their 3 point ability the problem isn't offense, but rather defense.  Klay can cover the 3 in many matchups, but when he does the opposing guards will go off.  Talent plays in most cases.  The details work themselves out.

anybody can play with curry on offense.

question is whether they can defend anyone.

I think Klay is plenty big enough and good enough defensively to play and defend the SF position.

He is a well built 6-7 and All-League defender.
