I would let go of Dwayne wade and get Carmelo if I was the heat. Carmelo is 2 years younger and wade is too old and injured. I hope this doesn't happen cas then the heat would get better but that would be a good way to improve.

Heat won't do that. They can spend big, but not AS big as some places, and Wade was as important as anyone else in the heat organization in bringing Lebron to town. Without Wade, LeBron doesn't bring his talents to South Beach. He's Heat royalty, and that's where he'll retire.

It's his option to terminate not theirs. His contract untradeable.

Its a player option from Wade, who pretty much limits the ability for them to bring in FA. But no matter how cold hearted Pat Riley is... I don't see him ever letting go of Wade... He has been one of the most important pieces to Heat history. Lebron would have never come over if it was just Bosh.

Wade is destined to retire in the Heat. The moment Shaq, Wade, and Jason Williams were on the same roster, and Wade was probably the biggest reason for the championship, the Heat were definitely not going to let him go.

It would take a lot of balls indeed to turn away a 32-yo 10x all-star who is willing to play for your team at a below-market salary.

I like the fact that we have a cold blooded GM (mean this as a compliment) who is more than capable of separating emotions from business.  We were in thesame situation with Pierce and Danny pulled the plug, and rightfully so.

Dannys cold bloodedness has drawbacks as well.  Dont forget why Ray Allen was on that Heat team last year to win that ring for them

Let's ask ourselves another question: "What would Danny Ainge do if he took over the Heat today"?

Wade would be on his usual wobbly legs and vulnerable to DA's trade ideas no matter how his contract looked like.
In Danny Ainge I Trust!

I agree.  And while LeBron wants to win, he seems pretty loyal to Wade currently.  I think there's a good chance that LeBron leaves if they don't bring back Wade.  Not that I like either of them, if it means paying Wade $10-15 million more than you should to get LeBron, it's a pretty easy decision in my book.

example

chalmers
wade
lebron
anthony
bosh

or

chalmers
wade
lebron
bosh
hawes, or hill, or varejao or hasik or someone big

who has the chance of winning?

for me i'll go with the seconds

2nd one got rim protector, rebounder and a low post scorer
(oden is a bust)

1st one is a small ball line-up with pacers or spurs can beat them

Yes, that would help them.  Then they sign Melo, perhaps.

That's been the obvious move for years.

Wade is a hard case .

Spoiled beyond belief

Won't follow directions under a strong head coach or play under a strong leader......not even Riley ...he'd quit , cause he can't stand to be told what to do.

Only recently acts like a team player , because he is old broke and lucky this team still wants him, he is a heat favorite .

I don't think he would move to another city or play for a REAL coach ...he has a bad temper.

I think he is untradeable  ,  pretty much has to quit ., or they resign him for super cheap .....

They said the same thing about Pierce when he was younger...

Wait a minute, Wade is basically 40 and still acts like a clown. Never mind.

I redact my statement.

There is some speculation that Lebron will use the threat of leaving in free agency as a way to make sure that his buddies Bosh and Wade get paid, so letting go of Wade might mean losing Lebron.
