My fan side is jumping up and down at the thought of a 51 win season.

My ultra nerd fan side is doing cart wheels at the thought of a Nets league worst 20 win season.

Projections of course.

Few thoughts on my end.

Jazz at 47.5 seems a bit high.

Celtics getting plenty of respect.  51.5 is pretty high.

Nets bringing up the rear at 20.5.

Philly at 27.5 seems a bit high.

Minnesota at 41.5 might be the most fascinating one on there.

I still think Toronto is better than us. The hype we are getting from all the media outlets and stuff because of signing Horford is nice, but I think it's important to be realistic. Toronto is still a really, really good team. I would put them above us still.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Wow. I really think people are sleeping on Indy. I have them as second best in the east.  Teague, Ellis, George, young, Jefferson, Turner.. 43.5 wins? I don't get it.

I got us 4th behind cavs, Indy, Toronto . The playoffs is a different story. I don't know who I'd pick if we went head to head with even a somehow healthy Knicks team.

That looks about right for the Celts.

Best case scenario I think the team wins low-50s.  I could also see them ending up closer to 45 if they struggle with injuries, the bench struggles to score, or they just have bad luck in close games.

As for other teams ... I like the Mavs to get to .500 once again.  I think the Hornets will be decent but not great again, if MKG, Kemba, and Cody Z stay healthy.

I believe the Raptors are winning 50+ again with the same basic core plus a healthier Carroll.

I believe the Kings will be a disaster given their excess of bigs and dearth of points guards or defenders.

I like the Heat to make a run at the playoffs even without Deng, Bosh, or Wade, because I respect Spoelstra.

I expect the Bulls to be closer to 30 games than 40.  Terrible roster makeup and the chemistry will be bad from day one and only get worse.

I think the Thunder will have to fight to stay at .500 all season.

I don't expect the Knicks to win more than 35 games.  They'll head into the season already in controversy thanks to Derrick Rose, and that starting lineup cannot possibly stay healthy all year.  They still don't have very many NBA caliber players.

I'll take the under on Warriors 66.5.

I think they'll win 70.

They won't push for 74 or 75 -- heck, I think Kerr may even actively avoid it -- but the ability to put at least two All-Star caliber players on the floor at all times is gonna be such an enormous advantage against the vast majority of opponents.

Wow. I really think people are sleeping on Indy. I have them as second best in the east.  Teague, Ellis, George, young, Jefferson, Turner.. 43.5 wins? I don't get it.

Teague and Ellis is a questionable fit.  I'm not sure they have the pieces to be very good defensively.  I don't love their bench, either.  Around .500 sounds right to me.

Minnesota at 41.5 might be the most fascinating one on there.

Too soon.  KAT is awesome, Wiggins and Rubio are nice, Dunn and Lavine are interesting.  I'm not sure all those pieces necessarily fit together, I'm not sure they know how to get high quality shots consistently or play quality team defense, and I'm not sure about the quality of role players they have supporting those guys.

Thibs will make that team better, but I don't expect them to suddenly become a playoff team in the West.  Give it another year.

Id peg the Cs at 62 wins if they complete the season unscathed by injuries

The improvements in the games alone of AB IT JC and AH plus the jump from MS should be enough for 56 wins.

This team will mimick the Hawks of 2014-15.

Same. They're going to take awhile to get going. I think they'll win around 60.

Honestly, it still won't surprise me if we battle Cleveland for the number one overall spot. It ultimately depends on how much rest Brad plans on giving Horford during the season, which is something we haven't really had to worry about the last couple of years with how young we've been.

With the combination of Cleveland's championship hangover, James taking it easy/resting during large portions of the season, and Boston being deep and greatly set up to win throughout the long season, I think we could easily see a neck-and-neck race with Cleveland for the top spot in April.

Only 66.5 for the Warriors?  Seems low.  On paper, they win every game.
