Going to have to play the heat hard nose basketball.  The Celtics need to play old school ball and take charge.  If they don't they will get swept in 4 games.

Anybody going to the rim gets stopped from making any easy buckets.

Must hammer their players hard.

Apparently they are planning bypassing bringing in a singer for the national anthem in favor of having the crowd sing it as a unit.

Thatd be tough, seeing that there fans don't come into the [dang] place til' the second quarter!!!

winner of tonight will win the series..if it is boston..they win in 6..if it is miami..they will win it in 5. this is it tonight. 0-2 against the heat might as well be 0-3

I agree about the importance of tonight's game.  But... I'll find a way to be hopeful even if we lose tonight.

There is a must-win feel to this game -- producing significant anxiety.

I think it will still be very tough to win this series even with a win tonight.  I expect Miami to take 1 in Boston.  Boston will need 2 wins on the road to win this series.  One needs to be tonight.

Via stats cube:

In 69 playoff games since acquiring Kevin Garnett the Celtics have only been trailing in a playoff series seven times. They have won all seven.

EDIT:

In those 7 games Rajon Rondo has averaged a triple double

Very interesting to see Rondo averages a triple double in these situations, hopefully he does it again tonight (and we get the win of course).

It'll be interesting to see how Doc attacks Miami's small ball lineups tonight.

I thought they looked very vulnerable defensively with James Jones caught guarding a power three or a big man ... so I am happy to see Doc stay big again and try to better take advantage of that opportunity.

I think BBD can defend James Jones better than Jones can defend BBD.

-------------------------------

Miami's small ball lineup - Chalmers, Miller, Wade/LeBron, J.Jones, J.Anthony

(1) West, Pierce, Green, BBD, Jermaine (stay big, create additional mismatch)
(2) West, Von Wafer, Pierce, Green, Jermaine (go small)
(3) Rondo, West, Pierce, Green, Jermaine (go small)

If Wade and LeBron are on the court together, I'd like to see Ray rejoin the lineup alongside Pierce on the wing.

I don't want to see Krstic and BBD play alongside one another. I'd much rather see one of Jermaine O'Neal or Kevin Garnett on the court at all times.

In that big lineup, the Celtics should have matchup advantages with BBD and J.Green. Miami (Miller/Jones) cannot defend either player in the post straight up.

2 Predictions:
1.) Mr. Rondo posts a triple double.
2.) Jeff Green gives us a huge boost off the bench.

Bonus Prediction: Delonte West also has a big game off the bench. I liked his energy in Game 1, he just missed shots.

Your preferred approach worked great vs NY. Think Doc would have noticed? Was dismayed when he went back to the same old thing. Hasn't worked yet. Ain't likely to. Doc--how bout some change we can believe in?
