I apologize if this was posted elsewhere.

Either Danny is going back on his word or Baynes now wants out since Al is leaving.

Celtics cap scenarios:
Horford/Kyrie leave, trade Baynes, renounce Mook: $18.4 mil
then renounce Larkin/Gibson/Wanamaker/Theis: $24. mil
then renounce Rozier: $32.4 mil
trade out 22 pick: $33.8 mil
trade away all picks: $38 mil.
waive Semi: $38.8 mil (max space scneario)

It's being mentioned in the 2019 Draft Day Trades thread. But honestly today is a holiday, I am sure people won't mind there being a couple extra threads.

This is helpful. TP

Boston has offered center Aron Baynes -- $5.4M expiring contract -- into salary cap space elsewhere, league sources tell ESPN. Without Kyrie Irving and Al Horford on the books, moving Baynes without taking back salary could get the Celtics to $23M in space.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

The question is if they do all these moves including trading Baynes for max cap space - who would want to come here and how do we play without a center?

They need to dump Yabu also. He is not a legit NBA player and is just taking up a roster spot and money

Weren't there reports out there that Baynes opted in to that final year with the understanding from the Celtics that he wouldn't be traded?

Yes but that was before Al left. Think Boston went to him and asked him if it was ok. Baynes does not want to play with a young group. He wants to contend. Best he goes for everyone.

Maybe Embiid demands a trade to Boston for nothing but a TPE?

The #Celtics are positioning themselves to have several options, financially. Of course, one big question is whether they wish to re-sign Terry Rozier. That's a domino that would cost them between $10-15M. They're expected to target trading for a star first, like Bradley Beal.

Brad's going for a GSW run dmc type lineup, I guess.
