Wow, sad how long they took to call that foul, ref really didn't want to call it.
Shockingly it was his first foul.

Rondo and KG with 31 of the 41 Celtics points. They've been dominant.

Ah a good old fashioned Eastern Conference Playoff war of attrition.  We need Paul and Ray to come alive in the second half because you know that crybaby is going to.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Kudos to Glenn Rivers for keeping Rondo fresh in the first half even though he had one foul

/sarcasm

I can't believe this is a close game when we held LeBrat to 10 points in the first half. [dang it]!

I understand we don't drive to the hoop enough...But when we get the ball in the post and there is contact that is a foul too.

Cassell either hurts you or helps ypu no in between..

That Flagrant foul was a joke
See, this is why I'm not allowed to announce NBA games -- I'd be talking in the Cookie Monster voice right now:

Ahhhhhhhhhh ... my knee hurts ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ... me don't like when my knee hurts ...

  • The good ole days.
KG has been great, but he passed up a couple open jumpers.  Yes, he made great passes that should've led to points, but all of a sudden the Cs put a board over the basket.  Ah heck, who am I kidding, go KG!  Do your thing!

"It ain't about me.  It's about us."  - KG, interview with John Thompson, 2005 All Star Game.

Few things from the first half:

1. Cleveland sucks, that is the worst quarter of the season for the C's and they have a 4 point lead.

2. The refs are what we thought they were. Pathetic, they will call anything for Lebaby, if it was up to Stern he would end the playoffs now, get on his knees and personally place the championship ring on his finger.

3. Pierce and Ray really need to get in this game, their play so far has been unacceptable.

4. Cut down on turnovers, can't keep giving the Cavs so many extra possessions. How do we do this? Less Cassell and more Rondo would be nice.

Would anybody else like to see Eddie instead of Sam? Baby instead of PJ?

Hopefully KG and Rondo can continue their play AND get Ray and Paul going. Oh and more Perkins.

Ray and Paul need to get involved(offensively) in the second half, to say the offense ran so poorly in the 2nd quarter this ain't bad (its not good) but it means Cleveland won't hang with us when the team is playing well on both ends.
Yeah it's not good but it's not bad either. Lots of things that are very easy to improve on. Lots of basic things done badly that can be turned around quickly.

The turnovers killed them. They should do better with that in the second. The second unit in particular killed them.

Ray Allen didn't score but he was able to get open whenever he moved without the basketball. His teammates need to do a better job of finding him.

Not having Pierce hurt the offense a bit. Too dependant on KG, and once KG stepped off the floor for a breather (along with Rondo) everyone lost their way.

Still the Celtics have the lead 41-37. Their defense has been great tonight. They kept the Cavs shooters quiet (Wally/Gibson/Delonte 5-18). They've contained LeBron very well especially limiting his penetration. KG has been excellent inside. Rondo is on fire. Good shape.

Also worth noting the Cavs are where they want to be. They want a close game where Bron can take over and bring it home in the fourth. They've shot 29% and they have that.

Eddie F. Rush is the worse referee in the league besides Violet in my opinion.  When they were both at Game 3 against the Hawks I knew we were in a lot of trouble.  I wish Tommy was doing this game even though I couldn't listen to him, "GO HOME EDDIE, JUST GO HOMEEEE."

yes, yes a thousand times yes! (on the Baby front)

Glenn coaches this team like a CYO team. Why PJ? Baby killed Z in the regular season!

Yes he is indeed, he is one of the many NBA referees that should be unemployed.
