If your looking for sports to go back to normal it won't. Basketball and sports in general will never be the same. Agreed?

What will be the legality of making players and fans get vaccine to enter stadiums and play? That is what I am curious about. It will get better for sure. All pandemics do and it is a matter of time for vaccine to get us to herd immunity levels.

This year no doubt though, not going to be normal.

Eh, many things won't ever be the same again, but I don't think sports is one of them. As the vaccine starts to become more and more widespread, things will slowly start going back to normal.

Have already stated Vaccine guarantees nothing. Still have to wear masks, still have to SD even with the Shot.

Eventually, with enough vaccinations, the positivity rates, the hospitalization amounts, the death rate, and overall positive tests will get to levels that allow for sports to allow crowds in and things will get back to normal. Things won't go from no one in attendance to sold out arenas overnight, it will be gradual. But things will get back to normal.

Don't expect it to be this season. It might not happen this year. It's possible "normal" might not happen until after next season. But normal will return.

they should wait  a few months so everybody has a chance to get a vaccine .   or how ever long it takes to do THE RIGHT things first.

Nobody wants to put ball before lifes of those most likely to get very sick and never see ball again.

I hope you're right, but I don't think we will ever see 'normal' back again.

I'll probably give it until 2024 or 2025 for things to go back to the way 2019 was, before covid hit. But i'll be missing buffets and dine-ins, just won't be the same again.

If everyone in the NBA has the vaccine they would all be safe around each other and fans would have to have the shot before attending games. It’s a matter of getting the shots wide spread.

Would all be better with some kind of national stratagem but I think one is coming.

Perhaps being from FL gives me a really jaded view on this thing, but I don't think it'll take much time for things to get back to normal in many parts of the country. I go to theme parks, the gym, malls, buffets/dine-in, have the option to go to sports games, ran in multiple races, and even been to Vegas twice since Nov. Always a mask, always try to maintain social distance, but other than not being able to go to Europe, on cruises, or packed-in concerts (there still is plenty of live music), life isn't that different than before.

I should note that I spent June-Sep in DC, as well. Was able to do many of the same things as last year (museums, casino, malls, Wharf) - just with modifications. Of course, late night bars/clubs really just weren't operating like pre-Covid.

So as far as basketball specifically, I can't imagine most games won't be selling out as soon as the 21-22 season. I remember hearing the acronym - CRAFT (can't remember a f-ing thing) - used to describe people/Americans several years ago and I think it'll apply here soon enough. For better or worse, once people are allowed to do things, they will - especially if they can get a good deal on Cs/Pats/Sox/Bs tickets.

2023-2024 sounds about right.

Touch dramatic. World sports have persevered and grown during World Wars, The Spanish Flu and the Cold War / East vs West divide - basketball will come back, it’s just a matter of when.
