  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Buddy Hield is my guy.
Although I think we are going to get lucky and get a top 2 pick.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm doing this in the order of where it's looking like they'll fall by different mock drafts.  Whether it's a few picks to early or to late.

Personally I'm taking Ben Simmons over Ingram if we get the number 1 pick.

Celtics Pick (Brooklyn) 3-6
Jaylen Brown
Buddy Hield
Dragan Bender (Only seen youtube clips, could be a good pick and stash even depending who we go after in free agency if he doesn't come right away.)

Celtics Pick (Dallas top 7 protected) Looking like midteen pick (13-18)
Damian Jones (He is my MUST have at this second 1st round pick)
Denzel Valentine
Skal Labissiere (Could turn into a good pro if taught and given time)
Diamond Stone

Celtics Pick (Boston 22-28)
AJ Hammons
Taurean Prince
Dwayne Bacon
As a Baylor alumni I can tell you Prince was our Jeff Green.

I really like Domantas Sabonis. Only 20 years old and the kid is a beast. Went 21 and 16 last night against Seton Hall. He's a solid rebounder, efficient scorer, solid defender, and has a high BBIQ. Sign me up.

Also like Poeltl, Ellenson, Luwawu, Valentine, Zipser, and Zubac

Why isn't Taurean Prince considered a top 10 or lottery player? He's exactly the wing that every team needs, potential to be a more athletic Crowder

Probably concerns about lack of shooting, lack of agility to play NBA defense, lack of skill to do anything offensively other than spot up.

Those are typically the issues that cause combo forwards like Prince to stay lower in the draft, from what I can tell.  For every Crowder or Covington there are a handful of Chris Singleton, Michael Beasley, Derrick Williams type guys.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Is Ben Simmons a 6'10 version of Rondo?

If we nab the a top 2 pick:
Ingram with nets pick
Sabonis with Dallas pick
Valentine with our pick

If we land 3 or later:
Bender
Luwawu
Valentine

Second round:
Any 7 foot shot blocking prospect ( I understand there are a few ero's who may fit this bill)

Jamal Murray is my guy if we don't end up with a top 2 pick.

With the Mavs pick I'm looking for an athletic big (Skal, Davis, Rabb, Criss)

With our pick I'd like us to go best international available, but if we don't I really love Prince.

Other guys I really like: Valentine, Grayson Allen, Diallo, Brogdon, GP3, Zimmerman, Stone.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think Skal drops a little bit. But Sabonis probably becomes a better pro. One thing about Skal that might happen is perhaps it's a Myles Turner situation where the system just didn't go with the player. If the Celtics some how keep all three picks then I'm hoping for

BRK - Simmons/Ingram/Bender or trade since the Celtics don't need Dunn
Dal  - Sabonis
BOS - Valentine

Again a lot can change by the time the draft happens. But I really like Valentine. Don't view him as ever becoming an elite talent but someone who can come off the bench and contribute right away.

Yeah, at least in my eyes.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

assuming no trades and C's are in #3 coming out of the lottery (same as going in)

Brooklyn: Bender  (if at #4 or #5 -- Brown)
Dallas: Valentine
Celtics: Sabonis (if available -- Bentil if not)
