Don't count out Brad and the Celtics.

Remember 2012 when the Celts sucked the whole regular season and reached the eastern finals?

Kevin Garnett is not walking through that door, Ray Allen is not walking through that door and Paul Pierce is not walking through that door. And if they are they will be old and grey

I am not on the hate Kyrie bus, but when Brad brought him back in the air completely went out of our comeback.
Right when Rozier missed 3 free throws in a row?

No right when Kyrie got abused by harden 2 or 3 times in a row.  Yes the  missed fits by Rozier didn’t help.  But Rozier was way better than Kyrie on D during our comeback.
Harden was hitting those shots over anyone. Calling a 3-step step-back 3 "abusing" a guy is laughable.

If anything, Brad's stupid switching on the perimeter caused that.

Turning point was when Brad pulled Hayward out when he was starting to pull it together.. Way to go Brad.

Then punyeta Rozier missed 3 freaking free throws.

Not to mention those 2 Contested made threes by Harden.

I agree Hayward was playing well in that comeback.  He was playing smart on def and finally got some shots to go down.

I just knew Brad would pull the guys that got us back in the game.

How does Kyrie keep ending up on Harden?

How does this happen??

Brown played him great and is still on the court.

Because Brad is an idiot and will not deviate from his switch everything defense, regardless of what the statistics and evidence actually shows... Nobody should be guarding Harden other than Smart or Brown, yet we consistently lazily switch bigs and Kyrie on him.  It's so frustrating. >:(

They're going to keep screening and re-screening until they get their matchup. Every team does it except us
Nevermind that harden is an absolute killer in the pick and roll when teams don’t don’t switch.  At least we had him shooting contested threes.

Agree
For me the 3 FTs and the missed rebound killed our chances. Also still wondering why they switched Brown off of Harden.

Rozier missing all 3 of those FTs ultimately was the kiss of death late. Ugh.
Agree. Terry is one of those players that mentally can't handle coming off the bench.

How many times did the Celts force a miss, in the 4th, and couldn't get the rebound?

That's the main problem of the Celts.

This Celts team is lacking a big man who can score inside and get rebounds.

I'm not disputing that. What I am disputing is the overly simplistic take that "when Kyrie came back in we sucked again." He put us in position for that comeback with his 3rd quarter offence. He also should've replaced Rozier, not Hayward (Brad's fault). AND he was not close to being alone with his shocking defence, as JT tried to match him every step.

Think about it, even before the season started, Celts were never in a position to beat GSW in the Finals.

Ainge not making moves to improve this team is an indication that he's aiming for 2020.

We actually were until the Warriors pulled off the unbelievable and signed Cousins.. Who by the way is seamlessly playing well with em Warriors.

GS without Cousins we can beat.. Now not so anymore.
