  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Detroit, do not miss out on this one. You could have had Matt Cassell and STILL retained your #1 overall. Don't be a dummy and pass up on Cutler. Please Detroit do not be a dummy.

My inclination is to say Detroit or Cleveland.

I'm hoping Chicago gets in the mix.  I'd trade them Kyle Orton and a first rounder (#18), and more if they need it.  Cutler is a baby, but he's a tremendous talent who has shown he can lead a team in the past (although not currently, obviously).

I have had it with Cutler. This is the NFL, Jay. It's not high school or Vanderbilt. It's a business. You get paid a ton of money. After you talked to the coach and he assured you you were going to be the quarterback, forget it, shut up, and play the game. End of story.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I know the Jets will make a play for him, but can't offer a decent QB in return.

Mark Schlereth (formerly of my all pro Madden dynasties of the late 90's. You and Tony Boselli, Mark, I never forget!) had some absolutely awesome points about the whole Jay Cutler thing..although I still want him in Detroit.

Check it out, I completely agree...twitter, text messaging and other passive aggressive forms of communication have ruined a lot of accountability here in this instance, and more broadly, the WORLD...

Someone give me fantasy implications.

Cutler's stock in Chicago (up, or down?) and Orton's in Denver (up?).

I figure Brandon Marshall takes a little hit with this move too.

Wahoo!  We paid through the nose, but at this point, it needed to happen.  Now, let's sign Orlando Pace, and get Cutler some wideouts.
