Did you see D'antoni's facial expression when he found out he got the 6th pick?  Sucks to be him.  Deja vu for us Boston fans.

Bulls could be a force in the East with either Beasley or Rose.
Who said the East was the JV conference? See you next year, Mr. Bryant!

Man I was pulling for Minnesota, Chicago and Miami are two teams I don't really like, mainly Miami.

It's crazy considering everyone had Chicago winning the East this year...

#1 pick, eh?  Wow

Rose is from Chicago too.

The success that CP3 and Deron have had will help all the PGs in this year's draft.

I think they go Rose.

Trade Hinrich.
That still leaves them with zero offense up front. Beasley makes more sense when you have a serviceable pg in Hinrich.

They really need to get rid of this lottery junk. It makes the NBA look pretty sad.

All I know is I am so happy we were not a part of that lottery. Amazing, last year we all watched the draft hoping for an answer, and this year we watch the draft lottery waiting to watch our team in the Eastern Conference Finals.

And the funniest part about that, of course, is that he turned down the far better Bulls job.

I'm glad to see Seattle and Memphis fall.

If I'm Chicago I take native son Derrick Rose. Hinrich could play the two. I'm not sure F.A. Gordon is worth overpaying to keep. What is Tyrus Thomas's value at this point if they decide to draft Beasley?

Final order:
Chicago
Miami
Minnesota
Seattle
Memphis
New York
and on...

Hmmm, I think Chicago is desperate for a big that can score.

1. Chi - Beasley
2. Mia - Rose
3. Min - Lopez or Mayo..... I think Lopez

The Bulls won the draft lottery? Lucky fellas

They should take Derrick Rose. They won't, Paxson doesn't have the gumption. He'll take Michael Beasley who'll be a solid fit. Unfortunately he won't trade Tyrus, then he'll fail to make the consequential moves from this past year leaving a non-contender in place. At least they'll be better than last season. Should be a dangerous playoff team.

Reisendorf needs to fire John Paxson. Fire him now. Every attractive GM candidate in the league would love that Bulls job right now. So much to work with that is already in place.

I actually think Beasley is the better choice.  They need a post scoring threat, and Chicago has 2 zillion point guards not to mention a combo guard or two in the mix.  Derrick Rose is from Chi-town so it would be a popular choice but Beasley is the choice that makes the most since for their current team configuration, but I agree it makes sense to trade Thomas.

Miami are the biggest winner tonight. They should be delighted. I prefer Beasley for them but Rose will be fantastic. Either way they're heading into a new season with a newly loaded roster.

The Bulls on the other hand are miles away from being a contender. It's nice that they have the opportunity to add an excellent prospect but there still a way off.

Miami on the other hand already has Dwyane Wade, a bona-fide franchise player. Teaming him up with one of those two prospects provides the foundation of a contender right away. They need to work up their supporting cast right away.
