Gainesville Celtics trade Lucas Nogueira

Juggernauts trade 2015 2nd round pick; Juggernauts drop Festus Ezeli

I love Nogueira. It may take a year or two for him to carve out a good role with the Raptors, but the hair!!!!

I don't normally comment on other GM's trade discussions, but I will in this case.

((CP3 and Gerald Wallace) + (Wes Matthews, Teague, Linsanity & GC's 1st)) < Jusuf Nurkic

Me too --- i really wanted to figure out a way to keep him, but I figured (correctly) that he'd also probably bring the highest in return.

Plus, with (the Rudy) Gobert Report on our team we only need 1 center -- 20 REBOUNDS! 11 points.

Which begs the question... how many Goberts in a Nurkic?!?  ???

Last time I checked, it's almost 2 convertible marks to 1 Euro, so that complicates the Nurkic /Gobert ratio... I believe I may have to consult Euclid of Alexandria on this one.

With Rondo's list ^^ we're at 13 teams having posted their cutdown rosters!

Just for bookkeeping I don't have cutdown rosters from these GMs -- who still have until Friday at 11:59pm.

I can't argue with your cuts, but there is some value there for sure.

Btw, TP on building ur roster, Cousins, Ibaka, Batum, Valanciunas, Butler, & Waiters is quite a young and improving core. Cousins is a fbb monster & JV may not be far behind. IMO, Waiters may end up the second or third best player on Cleveland. I believe his game will blossom with LBJ in town.

Also, if Rubio can develop his shot, TJ & McCollum land some good PT,  and Cleanthony live up to his "steal of round #2" billing, you have a real shot to a high seed this year.

Mk

Thanks for the review, Mk.  I've been silently building this roster for a few years after trading away CP3 and I'm finally at the point where I'm ready to compete.  It took a few leaps of faith (Cousins & Waiters) and some patience (JV) but it's all coming together.  I still have some definite holes but it should be a fun year.

I'm a fan of Calathes, but his 13 game suspension doesn't bode well for him in terms of early fantasy relevance, and as much as I'd like to believe the Gordon hype this year, he's just so far down the depth chart in ORL, I couldn't justify keeping him.  I'd rather roll the dice on Early and McCollum to see if one of them can land a significant role.

I am also a fan of Calathes. He was really good last season while Conley was out. Even after Conley was back, ne produced. His PED (rogaine) suspension was unfortunate, but if he gets another shot at starting for a stretch this season, he should be pretty good once again.

Thanks for the trade.  It's tough waiting on young players but you gotta do it.  I'll never forget watching Larry Sanders blow up & put up big numbers night after night a few years ago after I basically gave him away in the points league.
