Toronto is going to win the division.
Very possible. They won it last year because they had continuity and health to their stars. This year, if they remain healthy, their clearly defined roles will definitely help them.

Didn't mean anything come playoffs ;)

Leonard is the best player in the East.

Think he's better than Giannis?  I go back and forth on it.  More skilled at this point, better on D, but you have to design your entire defensive plan around Giannis. Not exactly the same with Leonard.

Leonard is the more well-rounded player, probably a better shooter.

Leonard is definitely a better shooter but is he really the more well rounded player? He's the more polished player on offense and he might still be the best player in the league but Giannis is a much better passer, a better rebounder, and probably able to play more positions.

I am relaxed and Leonard is still the best player in the East.

And that is why Toronto is 5-0.

Same rhetoric from the players: "we need to play better"

Same comments from the fans:  "It's just preseason, relax!" "It's just the first week of the season relax!"

Well, C's better find "the switch" pretty soon, cause it's not preseason any more, and we still look like crap!!
Have Kyrie and Hayward screwed this team up that badly?  We still have the same players that took us to the ECF last season!  If those two players are that out of sync, or out of shape, or haven't recovered from their injuries enough, cut their minutes WAY back, and use the team that almost got us to the finals last year.  Get those guys their swagger back, and then slowly integrate Kyrie and GH until they get their ju-ju back, cause these games right now are hard to watch as bad as they are playing.

Yeah but the players need to get their stuff together and play the quality of ball they're getting paid so handsomely for.

The fans just need to sit on the couch, drink and grumble/cheer.

Meaning, we can definitely wait and expect things to improve - it's not like anything changes if we don't.  They don't have that luxury. I'd hope the players are reacting much more strongly to the bad play than the fans - it'd be a very bad sign if they didn't.

Not the only reason. Their team defense has been stellar, and their team offense even stellarer.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021
