Can't balme Al for going for the money and can't blame Danny for not paying that kind of crazy money.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Good for Al on his last big pay day.

The Sixers will be really hard to beat next year.

Not a fan of the thought of facing

Embiid
Horford
Harris
Richardson
Simmons

 >:(

Size galore

Kemba, Jaylen, and Tatum will run circles around that group. If we get Hayward back to semi-normal and are able to pick up a couple of Baynes caliber bigs (at the very least), we should be able to compete against anybody.

Philly's rebuild just ended today by committing to 4 max or near max players - two of which seem a bit overpaid. Their luxury bill starting in 2020 is going to be killer!

If it came down to paying Al or paying Jaylen, I have to stick with Jaylen on this one.

Which begs the question now, should/could we have kept Baynes?

I worry about his durability long-term, so I'm alright with him going

Why didn't Ainge pay Horford and cheaped out? Could've been something special with Kemba Walker here.

Now he ends up with a division rival, and arguably the team who will take the East. 76ers is copying the Raptors' blueprints of having size and length.

We shouldn't have matched what Philly offered. It's an overpay and it will take Al until he's 37. No way should Danny have hamstrung this team with a contract like that

Because he thinks 109 mil is too much for a guy in his mid to late 30s. The first year or two should be good for Philly, the last two years will likely be rough.

He only had 1 year left for $5m. It's not like we had a ton of money locked up in him.

Because Ainge like a lot of people on here thinks that most players are overpaid..
that’s why he loves draft picks so much - rookie contracts are often underpaying the player.

You're not wrong, but I just don't see it being really worth it when we ship him for a pick. Even if it's a late first, I'd rather that I think

Eh a guy that wasn’t an all star last year and is entering his mid 30’s. A lot of people outside ainge think that is an overlay, including a lot of Philly fans
