Now that we have Kemba and have a $4.9 million exception I propose we sign Kosta Koufus.  His offense improves slightly each season but he is still not great at it, his strength is setting hard screens and playing physical defense.  He won’t take a lot of shots away from Kemba,Tatum, Brown, Hayward while also not making us trade one of them away for a post.

Thoughts?

I like the player but will it cost that much?   I feel like he may go closer to vet min at this point.

Even better, I was just more trying to see if he would be a fit.  I’ve been a can of his toughness and think he would help.

PS this is my 1,000th post :)

I paused when I saw: "Now that we have Kemba?" Did I miss something? Danny, is that you? If so, welcome to the celticsblog..

He had a hamstring ailment that made him miss some time and limited him

4.2 rpg
0.9 assists/g
0.4 blk/g

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm not sure how much of an upgrade Kosta is over Rob Williams at this point.

He was on a young team with a million bigs.

Basing his skills on one injury riddled season on a team that invested early lottery picks on posts.

The guy can set hard screens, rebound, defend the post and add more toughness to the team.  He does this without surrendering any of our players.  If we can get him at $4.9 I’m fine, it’s get him at vet min then even better.

Veteran mentor to share minutes and help develop Williams 3 I was thinking.
