Germany have looked really quite poor.

Still clueless as to why Sane was left out of the squad. I can't think of any reason as to why Draxler would start ahead of him, let alone for Sane to be left out of the squad

Agree. Sane would have provided much needed pace on that wing for Germany. It is quite baffling.
I would've even preferred to see Reus out wide over Draxler

You're getting it. Reus is coming in. But for Khedira.
Thank you Joachim!

Germany should throw some high crosses into the box.

Trying to be too clever with little passes on edge of the box while Mexico are flooding that area with their own players. Germany are much bigger more physical team. Put the ball in the air and try to create that way.

Ohh, Lozano is coming off. That is a big loss for Mexico. That guy is terrifying in counter attacks.

That will free Germany up to push even more players forward.

Can't be that much harder at this point since Mexico basically conceded 3/4 of the field since halftime.

Nice to see Rafa Marquez get in. Surely this is his final Cup.

I hate seeing Guardado go off too. Not liking Mexico's subs.

Guardado is too good. Too important. He needs to be on the pitch in this situation.

They are locking up shop, it seems, with their subs. They would probably just sit on that 1-0 lead and defend.

Why is Ozil still in the game? Been a massive zero today.

He has been bad. But he's probably the only player they have right there that could create chances, that's probably why.

This has got to be the biggest upset so far.

Mexico went full on attacking and it paid off. Germany can't seem to get quality chances. What a win by Mexico here.

Mexico are my favourite team so far. They played some pretty football in the first half. A bit disappointed by how much defended deep and how early they changed into those defensive tactics but they do play some really nice stuff when they are passing the ball and looking to attack.

Herrera was fantastic in midfield.
