i wish pierce would be the one shooting instead of powe and baby...esp jumpers

Pierce is the playmaker.  He should be getting the ball back but thats what Doc means by not moving the ball.

BBD has taken Leon's role, Scal took BBD's, and Leon has taken Scals. in regards to productivity at least.

You know whats funny is two months ago just about everyone on this board, including myself, chose Powe over BBD in regards to 'would you resign this offseason, if you could only have one' thread, and I'd have to believe that thread would make a giant 180 if started again.

I know right now Id choose BBD over Leon.  He can knock down a jumper, does a decent job of finishing inside, good rebounder, and a much better defender than Powe.  Not to mention BBD helps spread the ball around rather than becoming a black hole.

I'm happy to eat some crow with regards to my opinion of Davis.

I don't know what's going on with Leon. He seems utterly despondent out there now that he's in a slump. It seems like he's stopped getting calls from the refs for whatever reason, so his scoring has dropped. He's still a very good rebounder, but he needs to figure out some offensive diversity and get his head back on straight.

I think teams have started paying more attention to him and made adjustments to slow him down, and Leon hasnt made any adjustments to it, he just keeps trying the same things over and over.  The fact that he never passes the ball compounds it more because if you watch him enough you know that once the ball goes down to him it aint leaving.

He needs to counter their adjustments to him, keep the collapsing defenses honest, a good start would be finding House at the three point line.
He needs a quicker move too. He's very deliberate and gives the defenders too much time.

Also Eddie is getting destroyed the last few plays off the dribble. They are getting easy shots because of the rotation that comes to prevent the penetration.

See, I think that for whatever reason, Powe stopped getting calls for a few games, so now he's trying to use more hooks and fadeaways to avoid contact. He needs to keep going toward the hoop. Eventually the calls will return, and even if they don't, if he goes to the rim he's in a better position for offensive tip-ins off of his own shot.

why do people say powes struggles comes from other teams adjusting? not really.. him missing free throws, not knowing how to pass from the post and missing everything but wide open dunks has nothing to do with the other team..

Bad Leon again. At this point, maybe some burn to try to get POB up to speed--not now, close game, but in general?

I like Gomes, but I'm glad he is not on our team. The guy plays no defense. Never has, never will.

Go back at Gomes again. ;)
