Just putrid. Losing to Germany? Theis and the Wagners? What a disgrace.

Don’t forget the dude named Obst that put 24 on them

He has a really pure stroke.  I’m assuming the rest of his game is generally poor, but his shot is NBA quality for sure.

I think its pretty evident that international talent has gotten good enough that the USA can be beaten when they don't bring their A list. They really only do that for the Olympics.

Will be very interesting to see the roster they trot out for Paris next summer.

I must say I’m glad there are no Celtics on the roster this year.  When the USA lost with Kemba, Tatum, Brown, and an injured Marcus, it felt worse.  Now Tatum gets to help restore US glory at the Olympics.

All that said, it was a fun game to watch.

Good point. I remember how much it pained me as a fan when Pierce was the scapegoat in '02.

NBA players suck without NBA refs. Not a surprise to some

Yup. And have no idea how to play team basketball anymore. It is all heliocentric offenses on most teams nowadays. One ball-handler, one screener/roller and 3 guys standing around. Most of these guys only know how to operate when they are the ball-handler.

This is the dumbest generation of basketball players I've seen.

A-List? this wasn't even the B-List.  Heck there were guys that may not be even on the C team on this roster.  A guy like Edwards may make the 2nd team, but he is a rarity on this team.

Yeah, pretty much team foxtrot.

Still embarrassing

A Edwards was the best player on the team but he was playing too much hero ball in this tourney. He doesn't know how to play alongside other stars. He was part of the problem.

Yeah, JV they were but still the most talented team there. Not the best though, obviously. But they were the ones that USA Basketball sent, so they should have been able to do the job. Some of the guys they were playing against in this tournament weren't even in the Euro League, and a number of their stars (Jokic, Giannis, etc) skipped the tournament too. They can have no excuses. They decided not to send any bigs other than Kessler, JJJ (who was atrocious) and Banchero and I guess that didn't work out too well. I think Brook, Jarrett Allen, Mobley, Turner, Timelord were all available but they didn't consider them.
