Let me rephrase.  Assuming surgery is necessary.  How long before he's back.

Also.  Is he a lefty?

Sucks too because we are 7-1 yet you have this feeling in the pit of your stomach like it’s not your year. Same feeling as opening night, 2017.

They say it takes about six weeks to heal and another six to get to full strength but it is not a set time injury. Sometimes you need another surgery. Add mote time to get back into game shape as well.

Per dr Chao about 6 weeks with surgery. Not sure where people are getting the 3 months

Per article with surgery average is 16 missed games. Without maybe about 8

12 weeks sounds long to me, but I no nothing.   Of course a much different story than last injury re: getting to game shape if it's 1) 6 weeks and 2) his hand as opposed to the foot

All indications from what I have read are 8-16 games not great but could be worse.

Better if it is his middle finger.

Well if the surgery happens Monday, and it is six weeks as speculated that would take it to December 23 and he would miss 19 games.

3 weeks:11 games missed
4 weeks: 13 games missed
5 weeks: 16 games missed
6 weeks: 19 games missed
7 weeks: 22 games missed
8 weeks: 25 games missed
9 weeks: 29 games missed
10 weeks: 33 games missed

That pick by Aldridge was dirty. The league should review it and suspend or fine him.

Just convince he'll be mentally fine when he returns and I'll get over it...

You can be over it. Based on my sample size of one and complete lack of medical knowledge but reasonably good common sense, this one won't come close to having the psychological effects that the injury two years ago did.

That’s not so bad. If he’s cleared by January that’d be great. Season doesn’t really settle in until then anyways.
