Kyrie is ****ing useless with Westbrook on him.  Brad needs to sit the kid if we're going to make a dent in this lead.  Look at the difference between he and Jaylen Brown - it's absolutely absurd.  Physically, one can hang in this game, and the other can't.  Problem is, we traded away what will potentially be another Jaylen Brown-level prospect, an arguably better player, and a starting SF for him.  SMH.  I want to see him fail.  He can wear his little post-game mittens in Minnesota.

They arr collapsing on kyrie.. because brown shot frok deep is off..

I really don't give a ****.  He's a superstar.  Play like it.  I don't even care if he can't hang -- we gave up too much for him not to play with some chops.  It pains me that Boston fans are not shredding him.  He's such a little cupcake.

No, he's definitely been way too passive tonight. It's nights like tonight that he has to be the "guy" that he wanted to be. He needs to take over.

Thank you, jp.  I don't care if a guy goes down swinging.. but at least take some initiative and fight out there.  That's all I want to see in a game like this.  These can be confidence-altering games, esp for such a young team.

You went ghost.. where u at?????

Watching.  I gave him credit in my last post.  Thankfully he has done his job for half of the 4th quarter.  Thank God for the consistency of Horford and Jaylen throughout.  This game is now on Kyrie - his to win or lose.  And I'll give credit where it's due.

I can respect that... Just understand ecery game has a different flow.. kyrie found his spot and killed it

Back at you.

Credit where it's due - Kyrie played great in the clutch.  He hit some big time shots.  But imo, it was his penetration and kicks to Al (who was remarkable) for 3s that won this game.  He's much, much better at penetrating than I thought.  I hope he becomes more consistent there, and guys need to make shots.  Also, I thought their PnR switch to get Adams on Kyrie would be a bad move - felt sure others could help off and Kyrie wouldn't finish - but he made a great finish.

Props to Smart for starting that penetration earlier in the 4, Jaylen for his aggression, offensive contributions, and rebounding.  Ojelye, Smart, et. all stepped up when it mattered.  Big road win for a young team.

So, while I'd argue my frustration was warranted, I was clearly wrong in doubting Kyrie tonight.

Our team could be a juggernaut for years going forward. Let the young guys come up right this year, add Hayward in next year + our owed pick and more time to gel. What a great time to be a Celtics fan.

Great game from Jaylen too. Obviously concentrating on getting rebounds now. He is just a beast down the defensive end..

Now if the Nets can comeback on the Lakers, that would really top off tonight's win!!!

Also his dunk really set off the run.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

This team is coming together much faster than I expected. Kyrie and Horford look like they grew up playing together, and the whole team has bought in fully to the defense.

Well . . . Spurs was an understandable win.  THAT however served notice to the Western Conference that the C's are coming to play.  As optimistic as I am about this team, I'm stunned by that second half.  Keep getting better rooks!

I was getting antsy when Brad left the group out there with Baynes, Semi, etc so long to start the 4th quarter. Baynes was exhausted, but then, he brought Al & Kyrie back in with 7 minutes, both were fresh, and dominated the final minutes of the game.

I haven't had this much fun with a Celtics team in the regular season since I was a  kid watching Larry Bird.

GREAT TEAM WIN CELTICSSSS

I love that Flat Earther Kyrie high fives Brad in the huddle. Jaylen Brown showing serious cajones shooting so badly most of the game but still D’ing up their wings and leading the team in boards.

yes!

Jaylen Brown always keeps his head up and keeps playing!

BROWN IS BRAVE. never quit!
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Nice job by Tatum and Rozier keeping the game within reach in the first half.

everyone thought that this team lost some grit in the offseason, well...today's game could've easily been a lost game, but this team found a way to crawl back from 18 down and get the win. That's grit right there!

I have been taken back to a time when Bird first entered the league..we have two young super star potential players who have “it” written all over them..we have two healthy superstars in Kyrie and Al with them...another amazing star in Hayward who will join them next year and potentially another top five pick this year or next...and a coach who definitely gets “it” to a whole other level...😁
