Bos sends: Perk + Ray
Phi sends: Iguodala + Dalembert

Boston gets much more athletic. They lose low post defense , but get a very good shot blocker and rebounder( better than Perk). Dalembert can finish on alley oops that Perk can't so we would have a nice running 3 some with Rondo and Iggy. PP and KG can trail the fast break and get wide open looks from 18 for KG and 3pt land for PP.

They could likely make a small trade with the rest of their expiring contracts to get a guy like Kurt Thomas to throw up against Shaq.

Tough choice I'd hate to lose Perk, but Dalembert can hit free throws around 80% IIRC.

Even though I love Ray and Perk I might have to say yes to this.

No.

That is a step back at the C position that also increases the amount of money being payed their.

Take Perk out and give them someone else.  He is to important against the likes of Howard, Shaq and Bynum/Gasol.

Yes.

Maybe we get a bit worse in the C position but not by a whole lot.

We get a huge upgrade at the SG position... huge upgrade.

That is far more important.

Yes -- small downgrade at center + good upgrade at SG

As I said in aother thread, Philly would have to sweeten the deal with Speights or a first rounder. Otherwise, No.

Despite my frustrations with him, Perk is too important against key competitors bigs. I would take Delambert as his back-up, but can't see him being sent out while we hope to win in the short-term.

i might have to do it.  I don't think Perk and Dalembert are that far off, but I think Iggy is a far better asset than Ray.

Dalembert would be a 12 mil expiring contract next year.  Something to think about.  I could see us moving him at next year's deadline for someone like Okafor.

They are further apart then you think.

Perk is a low post defender.

Dalembert is a weakside shot blocker.

Just look at Howard's numbers.

Against Boston, 12 points on 46% shooting.  36 minutes

Against Philly, 21 points on 81% shooting.

Last year, the same.  He shot 7 % better against Philly.

Sheed has always played Howard very tough. if we could acquire another low post defender off the bench I think we could get by.

Trading a good young, cheap big man is never a good idea. Perk isn't going anywhere.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

He is only going to be cheap for one more year. His next contract(2011) he will likely earn just as much , probably a few mil more than Dalembert will command . Dalembert would be a better fit with Rondo and provides the shot blocking and rebounding that KG used to .

Yes. Dalembert is almost a wash with Perkins and would bring better rebounding. Ideally, we could get Dalembert + Iguodala and use Perkins to get some more talent (maybe even by moving Rasheed Wallace with him?).

why on earth would a non-contending team want wallace and his contract?

yea maybe if we move scal and giddens with a 2nd rd pick we could get kapono or some filler
