Let's say Lakers pick end up as top 3, and they want maybe someone like Yabusele, Rozier, and either Clippers or Grizzlies pick, and one of our Celtics first rounders.

Do you do it?

I would say I think I would. People tell me AD is a franchise player, but why not KP? He's an multi-talented big men with the ability to block shots, space the floor, and has shown this year, he can take over games.

Put him next to Kyrie, and Horford since his contract is still on the rookie-scale, and you can upgrade the roster that way.

Our rebounding might take a hit, but I believe having KP/Horford would greatly improve our defense, plus KP would have a field day against small ball teams.

Nothing. If we’re trading our assets, it’s Davis or bust at this point.

While I'm also very high on AD, there is nothing that we could offer realistically without losing 4-5 premier assets. And before you say they are treading on thin ice, AD still has 3 years left on his contract.

Not happening. We don't have enough to get AD.

If I'm New Orleans, Horford + Tatum + LAL pick isn't enough.

I would give Horford + Brown for Zinger.

You're joking if you even think that's a reasonable offer... Lol. But I guess to each their own.

Knicks wouldn't budge without the Lakers pick if it conveyed.

I don't think KP is available of this point. He's as untouchable as AD to Pelicans.

Lakers pick + Memphis pick + Celtics #1?

Yeah, I’d do it, but only if Wyc committed to going deep into the tax to keep the team together.

I'm not sold on the Zinger yet. I wouldn't want to give up Tatum or Bagley, assuming we land a top pick from LA.

I'd have a difficult time even moving the LAL pick for Zinger, if it conveys this year.  But I'm also not really a fan.  I view him as a good player, but not a great one.

I may be alone in that opinion.

I'd move lesser assets, but I also acknowledge the fact that the Knicks would laugh and hang up on me.

I think Zinger has a ton of pressure on him in NYC. He's supposed to carry that sorry franchise as a 22 year old. He's uber talented. In Boston, he would not be the focal point and might not get worn out as much.

I'd give up the Lakers pick in a heart beat for Porzingis. That being said, zero shot NYK trades him for just the pick.

He missed 429 fg attempts this season, 4th most in the nba. That's Carmelo level ball chucking

"Gun to my head", I would probably do Jaylen Brown and the Lakers pick, expect to pay the luxury tax to keep Smart, and let Hayward step into Brown's spot. As much as I do like Brown, Zinger is a bigger weapon. We're talking a 7'3" All-Star who is 22 years-old, gives you 20+ points, 2 blocks and 2 threes every night, 80% from the line, and is a plus player at both ends.

Irving/ Hayward/ Tatum/ Horford/ Porzingis is arguably the best starting 5 in the league, with a very long window of contention. We'd have to ante up.

The lineup above also bodes well for players like Smart, Rozier, Theis off the bench, as we'd have 5 scorers to mix and match with.

Yeah it'd prob take at least a Brown and a Lakers pick. I wouldn't mind doing this trade- that pick is slowly falling apart, so trade it now. And we have Tatum whose blossoming better than Brown. Pair Hayward and Tatum together. And ya got your all-star floor general with two versatile starting bigs.

If Brown and Lakers pick was the asking price, I’m pulling the trigger. I’m a fan of Jaylen’s but Kyrie-Hayward-Tatum-Horford-Porzingis is too beast of a starting 5.

I don’t know how this will work, salary-wise, but KP is legit.

People tell me AD is a franchise player, but why not KP?

KP is good but any player in NYC always benefits from the media hype machine.   It like they always talk about Madison Sq Garden  as a basketball hot spot but they have won exactly won championship there and have not done well for the majority of their tenure of the league because they are in the same division as us!  It had nothing on the Boston Garden yet the promote it like it is equal which is a fallacy on so many levels.

What we offer depends on NYC's leverage.   Will he resign?   Does he want out?  Once we know that we can make an appropriate offer.

He would meet a lot of our needs, he has size and he can shoot and score.   In many ways he would be ideal.
