Probably the last time the Celtics will be able to beat the Lakers as they get two of LeBron James/Paul George/Russell Westbrook next season with Kuzma in their core.

Have to play the clippers today

At golden state will be a bloody mess

They never win in Denver

0-4 and a 7 game losing streak

This team has overachieved all year and now is being exposed

#3 seed here we come
We could lose the next 3 games and Toronto and Cleveland could win their next 3 (unlikely the way both squads have been playing) and we would be the 2 seed, trailing Toronto by 1.5 and 3 games up on Cleveland.

Everyone needs to relax a little bit. Cleveland and Toronto are in the midst of their own swoons. The rest of the east is trash. No need to panic.

We need a bench badly so the starters don't have to play over 30 minutes a game.  If we can get some players that can score coming off the bench we could increase leads instead of losing them.
We also need a starting center so Al can play PF. Baynes is a backup center at best. Without a starting center and a few players that can score off the bench consistently we can win the east tile or a world championship.

Why did we even end up playing behind in the first place?
Could easily be OT had that dunk by JB had gone in.

And yes. Trade Smart.

Toronto isn't in swoon. They've played pretty good ball all season. The C's on the other hand are way too inconsistent.

Life was great a couple of weeks ago.  I was confident that we could get the Lakers pick and make the finals.  I now realize that neither of those things are going to happen.

Smart actually played a great game. He just made the dumbest play. This loss isn't on him. Truth of the matter is, the Celtics shouldn't have even been in this one at the end.

Bench is just a piece of ****.

Cmon that just wasn't the case tonight.  Smart played well had 22points 8 assists, Morris scored well, Terry hit clutch shots.  We had 46 points from the bench.  Tonight isn't the night to make this argument.

To be fair, we really didn't get much from Tatum and Brown tonight.  Neither played very well, and both struggled on def.  I know our bench has sucked a lot lately, but they were decent tonight.

They've lost 4 out of their last 7.

Tough schedule, but Id say thats something of a swoon for a team playing .700 ball otherwise.

Danny, for the love of God, get some freaking offensive help. The kids have come back down to Earth, and they can't be relied on consistently. It's essentially just Kyrie out there for large portions of the game with sprinkles of Morris and Al.

I say stick with the kids. I mean we arent getting anybody that is gonna put us over the top this year anyway. Lou williams, Tyreke evans isn't gonna cement us a place in the finals or get us even a little closer to a championship. So let the young guys dveelop. They will have bad games like tonight, more than we may like like, but they will also win us plenty of games (we are still in first place afterall) and they will be better for next year when we may actualy have a shot with hayward back.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Only 3 players were + tonight: Kyrie (+16), Morris (+4), and Horford (+2).

Yeah... we need a consistent secondary scorer.

SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

curious why you want to trade Smart. Thought he played quite well today. Made some bad plays absolutely, but do you really think we get better by trading him?

Dont see it.
