Sorry if some things look a bit uneven within the schedule formatting here, but anyways we have 24 games left in the season. Right off the bat, you can tell this is a tough stretch to end the season with.

After the break, we are on the road against MIL and then after the CHI game, find ourselves with a road game against TOR. Even after that, our 3-game homestand is real tough against POR, WAS (team that always gives us trouble), and HOU. Follow it up with a 4-game West Coast Trip against Golden State and then three teams all fighting for the 8 seed in the West. OOF. Basically, the next 10 games we have is extremely tough and we're going to have to try and navigate past it without doing horrible (like going 3-7 or worse). If we can, we're in a good spot.

Also, one thing's for sure. We CAN'T have letdowns against bad/mediocre teams and we'll definitely need Kyrie to be healthy and play as much as possible for the rest of February, most of March and early April hopefully until we have a 3 seed locked up (or 2.. we could dream!).

We've bounced back well from recent adversity and both Hayward and Brown have looked fantastic lately. Both are improving and that is key going forward. I say we'll finish the season on a wild 16-8 run with some big wins, heartbreaking losses and exciting games overall to finish the year at 53-29. Hopefully that's enough for the 3 seed in the East.

What do you all think?

I think 18 unless we go on a total tear, but like you said there are some tough matchups in there.

Yes -- the next 10 are huge.  The way the roads been going, I can't say I'm too optimistic. Would love C's to at least take one v. Bucks/Raptors.  And 3/4 on the West Coast trip.

MUST beat the Kings twice!  HATE that we play them on 2nd night of b2b after Warriors.   Good chance the C's leave everything on the court v. GS -- and then help the Kings get the 8 seed.

I hate to put the monkey on his back .  But Gordy needs to continue his up swing in play .  He has been the difference maker past several games.   These next 10 games are pivotal in my mind .  There needs to be a tuffness installed before playoffs .  Time to start getting serious.

I think C's lose @ Milwaukee, beat Chicago and in Toronto. Lose to Blazers, beat Wizards but lose to Rockets.

Lose @ Warriors, @ Kings. Beat LA, beat LA again and then beat the Kings back home.

I see 6-5 in those 11 games. Two b2b sets in those 11 games, so I see the C's drop the second night or lose both games to tough Western Conference foes.

My hope is that we go 2-1 in the first stretch (@MIL, @CHI, @TOR), then 2-1 the next stretch (POR, WAS, HOU), and then try to go 2-2 in that West Coast Trip preferably with a big win over the Lakers at least  :P

If they can find a way to go 6-4 in the next 10 games then I really like their chances of finishing the season something like 10-4 (to go 16-8 overall next 24).

It might just be irrational confidence, but I'm less worried about this stretch of games than if we played a bunch of crappy teams in a row. We seemingly always get up to play against tougher competition.

Lol yeah that's actually a valid point too.

Really not that worried overall as the Celtics are playing well now.

Bench group has been legit for weeks. The new guy we brought in from the G (ordon) - League has been playing like an all star...imagine that?

If they can just get Baynes to play with that boot on his foot, we can kick our way into the playoffs.

16-8 is reasonable and in line with their season record thus far.

If the Celts could go 16-8 I would be satisfied.  The Celts need to get at least the 4th seed which I assume means home court advantage for the1st round.

I guess.  But that also likely means Philly in round 1, Toronto in round 2 and Bucks in round 3.  Quite a road.  I think the C's need to get to the 3 seed, and maybe a slightly easier first round.

True re: new addition.  Having Gordon come around is like adding an all-star mid-season.  Better than getting Tobias Harris, and I think better than the Gasol upgrade for Toronto.

And this team is better with Baynes!  Hope he comes back 100%.
