Now that Blake could actually play minutes in a game, how soon should we expect him to go out on injury?

Why must so many here always look at things so pessimistically? We signed a guy that could be a great replacement for Gallo and instantly have to assume more bad injury luck?

I think Blake stays healthy and gives the team an unexpected boost this year. I think he will be a great fit as a #9 or #10 guy on the depth chart.

It's a realistic look. Blake's age, injury record, recent playing time all add into play that him staying healthy and contributing are on the low side.

How many ppl thought Rob Williams was to play majority of games this season back in June?  Very few, if any. Should the ppl who think Rob is injury prone be considered realists or pessimists?

I'm not saying I hate the attempt of picking him up, just saying I have little faith in him escaping injury esp if the role is to play contributing minutes on a regular basis.

This take is a lot more realistic based on past data.

Welcome to Boston Blake and some of bad karma fans. No wonder some don’t want to play here or stay here. You could start a thread about any star in the nba as they can all get injured. Making a post predicting when will it occur is beyond poor taste.

BAD TASTE: Hoping any player gets hurt.

PESSIMIST:  Thinking a player whose NOT old
or injury prone will get hurt in the future.

REALIST: Thinking a player whose IS old and has been injury prone will get hurt in the future or have a high percentage of getting hurt.

Don't know why people are hating on the Blake signing. Makes me think you didn't watch the Celtics in the first round.

Say what you want about BG, he played with more heart than anyone on the Nets team. Dude left it all on the court. If Durant and Irving would have played that hard.  Celtics might have lost.

We need him at the beginning of the year until Robs fully healthy,  and we need him so Al doesn't play crazy minutes to start the year.

Then we could use his toughness and tenacity for spot minutes at the end of the year and playoffs. Great addition.

Eh.  It was a “look at me” thread looking at the signing only in a solely negative light.
