Our main strength by far last season was our defense. From several reports, that was largely due to Mazzulla. Our offense was average at best, and often questionable. We also sucked for half the season until it all came together in late January. It's not like everything was great with Ime in charge. If anything Mazzulla may need an assistant coach who can get our offense to where it maximizes the talent we have, but I can see why Stevens says he has a great deal of confidence in the coaching staff that remains for this season.

Being an Italian-American who's last name was butchered to give me unwanted nicknames in my youth, it bugs me. It shouldn't. I'm an old man now. But it does.

Mozzarella was his nickname at WV and probably earlier in life. I personally like the nickname Mazz. Who doesn’t like like mozzarella, though?
