I can't help but think some teams that targeted players in  free agency or trades have been in contact with Boston about their TPE to reduce their overall team salary, but didn't want to finalize anything until they saw they could get their guy

Yes, this is a good point. It will be interesting to see what shakes out over the next couple of days.

I still can't come to terms with paying Beal over 50 million a year.  That is just insane for a player of Beal's caliber. 

Jokic I totally understand, but Beal is just nuts.

The fact of the matter is teams are paying guys more than the C’s can offer with their 6.4M MLE. Lot of guys are signing between the 8-12M AAV range.

Curry and Warren would be a nice offseason IMO.
