I have to say, Lowry nowadays physically looks like a shorter version of late career Paul Pierce.

If by “late career Paul Pierce” you specifically mean “late broadcasting career Paul Pierce”, then I agree.

Right now Lowry makes doughy Paul Pierce look like a Roman statue by comparison.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Did Smartacus get injured? Why did he only play 24 min?

I have to watch my DVR I haven’t seen the game yet

He was a bit slow on that injured ankle tonight, and White was rolling so Ime wisely stuck with White.

He got two fouls in the opening 4 minutes and never really got his rhythm. White was much better than him tonight, and Ime wanted us to go big

Thanks, TPs!

Read a tweet on Twitter where someone said Adebayo is as consistent as Nigerian electricity LOL

But yeah I think Bam is getting exposed big time. He can only score consistently against guards or smaller wings, but when going up against the likes of Embiid, Timelord, Horford, etc he’s pedestrian. He’ll do his damage against the likes of Theis, Kanter, etc but against better teams with higher quality bigs he plays scared and is afraid to attack

He’s looked shook the last two games with Timelord and Horford playing. Also even today when Jaylen went up for that emphatic dunk, Bam didn’t even try to contest it or make any effort on that drive to disrupt it. Not good optics

Derrick White was stellar. Realized he doesn’t need to take 3s, just take to the rim. Loved his game tonight.

Someone needs to bump that trade thread!!

Sad thing is that it's not even Bam's fault. Robert Williams is just that good. He was incredible tonight and was instrumental in breaking their will.

With a freak like that roaming out there, blocking 3s, locking down the rim, making incredible switch/double team recoveies. It's pretty hopeless for an offense.

nobody should apologize for being harsh on brown. great he was good in the 2nd half, but that 1st half is inexcusable
Sure it's excusable? He was THE reason for that dominating offensive streak to end the third and start the fourth. He was difference making. He was game changing. He was game winning. He was series ending with that dunk

You excuse a few turnovers if you get all that other stuff.
have to disagree there.  His TOs were primarily due to stupid/reckless play.  that is not excusable.

Cold shooting?  sure, it happens.  tough defensive assignment.  he typically draws the tougher guy to cover so sure, that can be excused.

once he started playing the way I pointed out in the game thread -- spot up shooter and only 1 or 2 dribble drives, he became a lot more effective on offense.  not saying he was listening to me but when he's having trouble dribbling like he has in these playoffs, C's need to restrict his ballhandling to just what he's really effective at.
I guess I am just a big softie. Not gonna be so harsh on the guy that dominated in the second half and was the biggest reason the Celtics won the game. He learned his lesson and adjusted. No biggie on 4 TOs if you're going to be so dominant that you are THE reason for the win.

Feels like a significant underappreciation of JT's role in that. He set up quite a few of those JB makes, as well as taking the brunt of the focus of the defense and making plays for others.

Clearly not fully healthy on that ankle either. It sounds like nobody expected him to play given his ankle and he somehow toughed it out. Hopefully he's better by Friday.

If he's even 50% right I always expect him to play. He's just one of those guys

Jayson Tatum Wednesday night became the 5th player in NBA history to score 1,500 playoff points before his 25th birthday. And with at least two more games left, he'll likely finish 3rd on this list, 1st among players who entered the league at age 19.

Brown made an adjustment. Rather than driving into a crowd with his poor handles, he just either a. Took a quick shot off a Tatum pass. Or b. Used his size and athleticism to shoot over smaller defenders.

I give ime props for calming him down and getting him to do what he does best.

As for Tatum his shots just finally started falling in the 3rd
