Anytime the C's have a lead in the 4th quarter I get concerned lol. Whether the lead is 5 points, 10 points, or 20 points...they evaporate quick. Now backs against the wall, lets see what these young kids are made of being down 3-2. Will need another monster night from Horford again.

I am not even expecting a monster night from AL again- I need him manage on guarding Giannis . if PP, White and someone else off the bench can give us big shooting games- Tatum please attack the basket 2-12 from 3 we are going to get killed . if the game is close i am very worried especially smart having the ball in the 4th- he was great in game 4 just totally screwed up game 5. I love the fight this team has when i watch the other teams they do not even look like they playing has hard as us.

This can be the turning point where legends are made.

After coming back from a 3-2 deficit in the 2nd round and going on to win banner 18...

...Ime out-coached Bud proving to be one of the best coaches in the league.

...Horford continued to turn back the clock and and his continued great performance here on out is when the HOF doors opened for him.

...Tatum cements his superstar status, and now in the firmly in the MVP race for the next several years.

...Brown shows the world it's not just Tatum's team.  No more All-Star snubs and now consistently All-NBA going forward.

...Smart continues being Smart, but the narrative shifts to a positive one.  Ya he'll make some boneheaded plays that will cost you a game but he'll win you the series.

...the Spurs got robbed with the Derrick White trade.

...the Time Lord legend grows.

...all of the above?

Let tonight be a night that adds to Celtics lore!

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Foster is reffing tonight’s game.  Hopefully he lives up to his extender reputation, but I’m not holding my breath.

I was joking with my friends yesterday he would get the call for the game. It's kind of sad the NBA is so obvious with their intentions.

That said happy it's finally working in our favor.

Exchange:

phong rings.............

foster: " hello??"

bavetta:  " hey scott, how are you today?"

foster:  " hey dick, how are you my old friend, how does 82 feel now?"

bavetta: " cut the crap scott, you know why i am calling."

foster:  " ok, ok, what now dick? Is something wrong? "

bavetta:  " the call has come down scott. I just got off the phone with adam. I also spoke with Tim but adam does not know about it. Albeit retired, I AM the COMPANY MAN of the NBA and always will be scott. Scott, we need this series to go 7. I do not give two craps about the point spread or point totals over/unders, or anything.  We only care about the moneyline and that means we need boston to win tonight."

foster: " but dick, you know we should NOT be......(dick cuts him off)"

bavetta: " shut the heck up scott. the CALL has come in. It is my job to pass it down. You will DO what i tell you TO DO. Do you understand me scott?"

foster: " yes sir mr. bavetta. I understand loud and clear. I will take care of it."

bavetta:  " you are a good man scott, make it happen like we used to do. goodbye"

foster:  " ok dick, I will"

phone hangs up.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Last game, Horford and Theis were +5 in only 4.4 minutes.  Grant and Horford were -11 in 25 minutes.  White was +8 in 17 min when NOT on the court with Grant.  He was +0 in 17 minutes with Grant.

Grant had the deer in the headlights look to him the whole game.  The whole team looked that way in the final few minutes but Grant was a problem the entire game.

Come on Grant, you have nothing to lose.  Just go out there and ball.  Block it all out and just play.

Oh, and maybe we should see a little more of Theis this game?

For those who haven't heard about the bone bruise issue for Timelord.

Thanks and TP for the information! It is an incredible relief to hear that the swelling TL has been dealing with is completely unrelated to the meniscus tear/repair. I get that it may be too late in this series for him to make much of a difference, but he is a huge part of our future, and it would be a huge disappointment to find out that he will forever be limited. Luckily that's not the case.

For those who haven't heard about the bone bruise issue for Timelord.

Had not heard that.  Glad to hear it is not a flare up of the knee (assuming this is all factual).  I would think that if they are sure the knee has not sustained any further damage and that the pain and swelling is due solely to this bruise, that they would play him and at least see how it feels.  See what he can do.

Does anyone know if a bruise can lead to swelling?  I have had plenty over the years and I do not recall every having swelling as part of it.  Maybe my bruises were not "bone" bruises, I don't know.

They could be lying. Doctors do it ALL of the time. Not like I know what’s going on with Timelord. I guess I just don’t believe it.

A bone bruise is also what knocked Ja out.

No Scott Foster tonight’s #Celtics-#Bucks. Non COVID illness.

We're doomed.
