Not surprised. I suspect the league basically paid him off/promoted him to keep silent about his and the league's involvement in betting / game fixing after his phone tag buddy Donaghy got caught. Instead of firing him they made him their go-to fixer.

It's sad that basketball fans still have to deal with this.
