I'm a little confused about why he only played 14 minutes on Saturday. Was he tired from new dad stuff? Because his decisions making with the ball is exactly what was needed while everyone else was throwing it away and driving into traffic.

I’m more confused as to why Prichard only played 13. Plays with great energy, 4 assists, hit his only shot, works hard on D and on the boards. Also, excellent ball handler who didn’t turn the ball over.

I may be wrong, but I believe the Celtics would have finished off that comeback if Tatum didn’t come back and Payton stayed in the game. Obviously can’t prove it, but Tatum didn’t do anything to help.
Especially after Butler was announced out for the second half. I thought Tatum should've stayed glued to the bench for either Pritchard or White after Tatum's "injury". He was just terrible all night.

Yeah I mean it sounds laughable to suggest, but I think most of the fanbase saw Tatum coming out and went "UGH" the way he was playing that night

Like everyone was amped up when Smart returned, I think when Tatum returned deep down everyone was like, "really?". But also everyone was definitely thankful it wasn't anything serious.

With Herro out I think guys like Pritchard and White should get some more minutes and hopefully they can produce.

Paging White to please show up.

2/18 shooting and 6 points combined the last three games (dating back to Game 7 against MIL). I know he’s not a traditional scorer but we still need way more from him especially with Smart hobbled.

Also wish he could be a bit more aggressive out there. He looks so passive and idk if that’s just by design or if he’s lost some confidence

You all are welcome  ;D

Yeah yeah I know he shot poorly in the 2nd half but overall, had a nice 13/8/6 night and I really thought his 7-0 run to start the game really set the tone for the C's early. He also looked aggressive out there which was nice to see and a complete opposite of how he's looked in the previous 2-3 games.

Filled in pretty well for Smart too

White's postgame interview confirms what I pretty much think is the case with him

White legit looks like one of the worst shooters/scorers in the league - and that does matter - but at least he played an engaged game and made an impact out there last night.

I think that he makes an impact most nights, but I agree about him looking like a bad scorer / shooter.

33% overall; 21.7% from 3PT; 44% from 2PT; .385 eFG%

I think I know how to get him back on track.  More soon.

Clearly Heat (and others) are not worried about giving DW open looks.  So far he has not made them pay -- but it's so clear how effective he could be if he was just a below average 3-point shooter rather than an atrocious one.  He should be able to make 33% of open looks.  Not too much to ask from a guy who can shoot adequately midrange and can shoot free throws.

The question is do you change the philosophy of continuing to shoot when they give you open looks?  So tempting to make their strategy fail with just a couple makes.  But at this point I think he's got to stop taking them.  Just keep the ball moving.

0-2 from three last night so the shot still isn't there but he finished 6-8 overall, 2/3 from the line, had 5 turnovers and some truly great defense. 29 minutes meant Smart could rest up a bit.

He was phenomenal last night. I continue to love his quick decision making and smart plays. Jaylen and Jayson should be watching Derick White tape every night.
