Towns too much like Kanter actually, good offense-questionable defense.  Kanter give you 75% of what Towns does for a fraction of the cost.

Stay away from Wiggins.
Kanter doesn't even give 50% of the offence that Towns does (just look at how good KAT was once Butler was gone). Not really a fair comparison.

KAT is also 23, is on a pretty good contract (cheaper than Simmons!), and has at least shown some shot-blocking proficiency
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I honestly believe Marcus Smart will someday be more valuable than his current contract and the value will expose itself in the form of intangibles. I'd think long and hard about including him in almost any trade at this point. We would have to be getting players back with huge hearts and a winning resume and I'd have to know for sure what Brown and Tatum finally develop in to before getting rid of Marcus.

Towns is interesting, but Wiggins is hollow.

Try again.  Simmons is still on his rookie contract.

This would be a classic offense for defense trade, with Wiggins and Hayward thrown into the mix.
(Hayward > Wiggins for a team contending).

I wouldn't give up more than that for the Towns/Wiggins combo.

This is the kind of thing that we need to continue to pursue  if we hope to get to the next level. I expect that Minnesota will continue to struggle this year and possibly become more receptive to making a major change. Of course, nobody really wants Wiggins but taking on his horrible contract is part of the price. I believe that you probably have to add in 2 picks including the Memphis pick.

+1.  Towns is soft, and Wiggins is the biggest waste of talent.  I like guys who actually compete.

That's a horrible trade for Minnesota. The fact that people are comparing him to Kanter is crazy talk. On offense, he's one of the most complete big man we've seen in the NBA. Only sticking point would be that awful Wiggins contract, but being able to pair KAT with Tatum and Kemba would be a tempting offer.

For the 100000000th time, there is literally zero chance Hayward is getting traded.
