 He doesn't play the same position, but the two have lots in common. We passed on Draymond Green in the draft for wait for it... Fab freaking Melo.

 Now I didn't think Green would be this good but I loved him in college and certainly would have taken him not over Sullinger but Melo yes.

 And what's funny is he only avg 11.7ppg 8.2rpg 3.7 apg. If you would have asked could be avg those Number in the NBA only RPG would have surprised me.

 Valentine is another Tom Izzo, Four year starter who has exploded his last two years and I would be thrilled to draft him and make him our SF.

 Yes I wish he was taller and more athletic but he has a nice 6'10" wingspan and his feel for the game is tremendous.

 His numbers this year wow. Per 40 he's Avg a triple double. These are his actual numbers over 31.5 mpg

 20.5 ppg 8.4prg 8.4apg .420% 3p  .464% fg .850%ft

He looks to me like the next Evan Turner. Has a lot of skills but is too ball dominant.

Im not too high on him, he is a senior right now. As of right now he reminds me of Frank Kaminsky and Jimmer Fredette, every draft class has one of those type of players that sit in school for 4 years and just play well against players 3-4 years younger than him. I wouldn't pick him any higher than 20th. He will be a role player at best in the NBA.

Agreed.  He can't guard a single NBA position.  Really nice college player though.

 And Draymond Green wasn't athletic enough to play in the NBA, don't  doubt Tom Izzo guys on defense.
