My wife LOVED the Sarah Connor Chronicles and was mad when Fox canned it.  I thought it was pretty good too.

Can I preemptively say "V" will be canceled too soon?  The show was just picking up steam, and I think it's going to get cut.

Star Trek: Enterprise was another sci-fi show that didn't get a long enough run.

It's not quite over, but ending

Friday Night Lights.

The only dramatic show captivating enough to keep me on board in about 10 years.

If you're going cartoons, I enjoyed "The Angry Beavers" although I'd never tell my kids that.

Ending? I watched the final episode a couple of months ago.

Loved it though. I thought I'd start to hate it a lil after Sarecen and Riggins left, but I didn't.

Though to be fair their departures coincided with Tyra's and that was just addition by subtraction. I'm a Lyla guy.

I fast-forward through any Julie/Tami story too more times.

Firefly and Jericho are the two big ones for me. Although Buffy was cancelled prematurely but then they ended season 5 so perfectly that there never should have been a season 6 and 7.

Forgot about that one. I loved that show.
Still don't believe in Joe.

Arrested Development. :'(

I would've bet all my tommy points that this thread would've led off with Arrested Development. It's a shame, that show was a masterpiece.

It's not the most popular position, but I've always felt that Arrested Development was canceled at just the right time.  It was a brilliant show, and the third season was really good too, but you could see it getting to the point where it started to become cartoonish and lean on recycled gags.  Better to go out on top than to start declining.

Still hoping they manage to get the movie out, though.

Arrested Development
The Wire

The Wire didn't get cancelled, it finished. And I thought it was just perfect great ending. Of course as a fan I would've liked to see more of it, but it told it's story and got what almost no show/movie/series/insert-media gets, good conclusion.

Ha, a battle of semantics I suppose. I don't have DirecTV and while I could just go out and buy the DVD there is something about watching it once a week that I really enjoy. Generally, make myself a rum & coke and watch it to relax before heading out on a Friday.

I never fast forward through it, but ya, the Julie ones are generally pretty dull. It's nice to have some base to reality, but, sometimes they're just a little too real. IE: Julie meets a cute boy at habitat for humanity! YAY! Also, season 2 was somewhat of a disaster throughout.

Good transition between casts though, they've done a good job at creating some new interesting characters.

I know production of Season 3 was super-rushed which might help explain some of that. There's an interview on the AVClub ( http://www.avclub.com/articles/mitch-hurwitz,45886/ )w/ the creator that goes through the ridiculous amount of time per day he spent on the show so I could see how a rushed schedule could really effect them negatively.
