Ray for Nene.

Nene has yet to opt in for next season and he probably won't, he could opt out and sign a new contract with Denver, but what if Denver doesn't want to give him a new contract, then we could send them Ray Allen who would replace Jr Smith and we then sign Nene to a 3 year deal and the last year being a player option ?

Denver becomes really strong at the 1-2-3 position if they resign Afflalo and Chandler.

Boston get's a legitimate center and starts Green, the talk about him getting more minutes makes sense then. What doesn't make sense is Pierce or KG getting benched for Green, this means Pierce would play at SG.

i'm sure Denver would take their 100th shooter to really fill out that bench.

Well, no reason to jump down the OPs throat. I see where he is coming from, although we may need to throw something else in with it (a first or Bradley, etc). Denver could use a player like Ray and, statistically, Ray is coming off his best ever 3pt shooting year. And, as everybody else says, he should be able to play for a few more years.

I am not necessarily advocating for this trade to go down, I am just not a huge fan of posts that just say, 'no way'.

Here is the only reason that Denver would do it. Nene is a restricted free agent so if he says he wants to go to another team and Denver should get whatever they can for him.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Pierce cannot guard starting 2's for 30+ minutes per game at anywhere near the level he guards 3's because he isn't quick enough.  If you ask him to do so then you can count on him being totally out of gas in the 4th quarter when we need him the most.

Exactly.  And I think that's what the OP was hinting at while not making it clear.  But that's the only way it makes sense for Denver; Nene is a good fit for their team.

Celts do not have the assets to be in the Nene sweepstakes. More likely they pitch and woo JR Smith.

Ray and Jeff Green and the Clips 1st round pick for Nene and JR

That to me makes a little more sense. JR has been dangled more than once before. The rest of their team is up in the air anyways thanks to Melo. With this trade they end up with a 9 man rotation of:

Lawson,Ray,Chandler,Green,Mosgov,Felton,Galinari,Birdman,Kmart

We turn our rotation into:

Rondo,JRs,Pierce,KG,Nene,West,Wafer,JO,Free Agent SF(5.5mil)
Can't stop, Rondo!
