You can have the best defensive center in the world and if the opposition is hitting 54% from three when throwing  up more than 25 three pointers, you're probably losing the game.
To be fair the reason why they shot such a high clip was that the lack of a good defensive center caused our defense to collapse, allowing the Spurs easy shots.
No that is not what happened. Most of their threes were contested but very poorly. The Celtics defense as a whole was awful after the first 10 minutes of the game. That includes perimeter defense. The defense did not collapse in, it was just never there.

If the opposition is taking 3-pointers that are wide open looks with no defender in sight, they are probably gonna shoot 54%.

Hayward might be the bigest nothing Boston ever paid a max contract for .

he is plain useless.

Standard ng around watching getting torched like a rookie by rookie s

Hayward had a terrible game but to be fair he wasn’t even in the floor when the Spurs started torching us tonight. He was far from the only reason we lost tonight. But I understand, it’s a value for money thing and we’re not getting any value for what we paid for. The other guys are getting paid less and we expect more from our max players.

Spurs sensational from 3. But no excuse for our interior defense. Matadors. No one can stop Aldridge. This is who we are.

i have wanted to give brad enough time before making that conclusion but it sure looks as if yoiu are correct. if players are not listening do what you need to do danny with players AND coaches.

Sick and tired of these same people. Last game Hayward played well they gang up on Brown. Now they cant blame Brown anymore they are back to their Hayward bashing. As if he wanted to get injured and not play up to his contract.  ::) Maybe you'd like to get your leg broken like that and hear people telling you that you are useless as you are just trying to get back?! Heck Derrick Rose was injured all the time in Chi and their fans generally remain supportive!

You guys make me sick! No bigtime FA should sign here because god forbid you get a potential career ending injury, these so-called fans won't support you as you recover, they will toss you aside right away.

Celtics "Fans" are really entitled like they said. Really, really entitled.

Why do people keep saying this is some Celtics fan phenomena? It's not. I've seen plenty of fans of other teams trashing their players after losses lol.

I liked Browns effort .   coach has to motivate his players .   Spurs played harder and worked harder .

Pop would have never took stood for his team to play with the lazy effort Brad had them play n at .

Ok Brad ...how about whispering in Haywards ear .....dude wake up,and play ...its,the NBA .  If your sick ...then stay home dude.

You three must be happy. You have been in the game threads just waiting for the moment to declare this team dead, the coach a lost cause and the GM needing to go.

Have at it and Happy New Year.

Hayward is not worth the vet min .  much less a max contract .

his intensity and effort sucked .....thats the bottom line ".....i can excuse the shooting .....max player with his fingr in his rear is not acceptable .

I would chew his tail off if i was DA .....he can pack his bags if thats all he can bring
I agree. He is worthless to this team and I believe the main cause of its disfuntion.  He gives us nothing.  Except a large bill to pay.  No toughness, no shooting, no defense, no hustle, nothing but a bill to pay.  DA got robbed on this deal.  Worse signing ever, so far.  Let’s see what happens next.
