Pho does it to get under the cap for next year, the Lafrentz money, and to get a prospects that are suited to running a half court game, 3 point shooters and Long Bigs. Think they'll prefer Bayless over S Rod, but portland has more leverage.

Portland does it to get a slight upgrade @ the 4 with amare, and to get Nash and Hill whose professionalism, passing and team play skills should be able to help develop Greg Oden. Barnes is a nice tough role player who they could use this year.
