50 points is nice, but we already witnessed first hand that Kyrie can't lead a team as the first option into a deep playoff run, and sure as hell not to a championship.  Milwaukee showed exactly how you neutralize him in a playoff series.

I think Brooklyn fans will tire of him in due time.

Thing is, he doesnt have to be the first option in brooklyn.
the Nets have been bad for so long, they won't get tired of him until he underperforms in the playoffs with Durant back

People will only tolerate those eccentricities of his while he is winning too.

Don't know for sure, but maybe his knee inflammation began to flare up. I know it was bothering him the past few weeks.

Random stuff - countries outside US with the most NBA players

16 - Canada
9 - Australia
8 - France

This was a graph from Magic vs Cavs game (on Fultz highlights video - 12pts 6ast for Fultz) that I just saw. I thought others might be interested in it too.

I was taken aback at how many Canadians are now in the league. That is a lot. Well done Canada. Australia has done a great job too. Those are big changes from 20 years ago.

France you would expect. They steadily produce NBA players and have done so for a long time now. Other teams like Argentina have more of a Golden Generation type situation ... but France has steady production lines.

Very interesting.

One thing I thought of during the World Cup is that world has really passed USA in terms of quality centers.   Just look at the Celts the last 2 years Horford, Baynes, Theis, Kanter, Poirier, and Tacko.   Looking around the league there are the Gasol brothers, Embiid, Towns, Vuvecic, Sabonis, Ayton, Jokic, Porzingas, Gobert, Capella, Adams, and Valanciunas.

Conversely it doesn’t seem like the world has done much at developing NBA quality point guards where we have stars all over the league at that position.

Sure he does.  Kyrie's selfish nature precludes him from taking a backseat to anyone, including an aging Durant who may not be the same player when he returns from his injury.  Additionally no other player on the current Nets roster comes even remotely close to Kyrie's scoring prowess.

Yea it is a bit hard to imagine Kyrie feeling he should take a backseat to a 32 year old Durant coming off an Achilles injury next year.

I def have MIL winning tonight. I haven't seen any of Houston's preseason games this year but I have zero faith in Harden or Russ winning big games individually or together. I haven't watch MIL either this year either, I think they're gonna really miss Brogdon this season. Should be a fun game to watch.

NBA needs to lose this virtual game  clock they have at the top of the key. It sucks.

Interesting move in the Houston case DAntoni challenged a block foul, and they reversed it and gave it to Giannis instead of block on Tucker.

Question: Are teams allowed to challenge those phantom foul assignments where they referees assign a foul committed by a superstar to a scrub so as not to put the star in foul trouble.

Time to respect Trae Young! 38 points and 9 assists!
