Impressive play by Tacko tonight.  He totally altered Duke's offense due to his interior presence.

Tacko is going to get drafted by someone....

and he did not foul Zion on that so-called foul out.

I think that was a 50-50 play; totally fair to argue no foul. On the other hand, there was a clear earlier foul on Fall, where he swept his arms down, that wasn’t called. So...?
It was clearly a foul.  Fall's arms weren't anywhere close to being vertical and there definitely was contact.

I'll tell you what, I was impressed by both Tacko and Dawkins. I would not be at all upset to see them in Green coming off the deep bench at some point for us.

Tacko just smashed his way into the 1st round.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Tacko was a lot of fun to watch but the lack of a defensive 3 second call in college is a very big part of his effectiveness.

Lol wow

he 23-year-old center from UCF posted the highest marks ever for wingspan (8 feet, 2.25 inches), standing reach (10 feet, 2.5 inches) and height with shoes (7 feet, 7 inches). Prior to Fall, the previous mark for longest wingspan was held by Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba, who was measured at 7-foot-10 in 2018 and was selected No. 6 overall in the 2018 Draft.

Not only does he have a great reach, he is fairly athletic and he is also an engineering student at UCF. I don't know why a bright, athletic player like this is not attracting much attention.

I hope his middle name isn't short of William.

If he could learn a shot, he would be a serviceable nba player

I don’t know much about him, but I’d be ok taking him with the 51st pick. It’s not often you find great players that late, so we can afford to miss on a solid bench contributor (most likely a wing, which there are a plethora of at bargain contracts). If we package Williams in a trade for AD, this could be a nice project.

You can’t teach height. Everything else can be improved. Athleticism, quickness, defensive awareness, basketball IQ, shooting form, etc. can all get better with hard work.

Low risk (unless someone completely unexpected falls to us that late), but could be high reward as he could become a defensive monster and good for easy buckets/extra possessions.

I watched him play a couple of games, and "fairly athletic" never crossed my mind.

Yeah, maybe fairly mobile is more accurate.

Seems like a good kid. I hope he finds success.
