If Kyrie jumps ship, would New Orleans trade Lonzo Ball for S&T Rozier? Ball is motivated by revenge against the Lakers. Unsure Rozier is the long-term man at PG, but Lonzo could develop into an all-time great pass-first point guard...

Maybe we get lucky and Tatum, Brown and Ball develop into the next Big three?

I dunno about Lonzo. He's extremely injury-prone and he can't shoot, and his dad is a complete circus act. I also think NO might roll with him throwing lobs to Zion for a season
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

So I actually Lonzo a lot. Very good defender and great passer. Bad shooter but he is young enough to maybe turn it around. He gets a bad rap because of his dad.

That being said, I would not give up significant assets to get him right now.

Agreed. My hope is that Lavar becomes obsessed with the idea of Lonzo becoming a Celtic and New Orleans begs for us to take him for Rozier...

I also read that Alvin Gentry likes the idea of a Holiday/Lonzo back court.

Man, they really gotta give Gentry the boot. He's been terrible

would need to trade real assets for Lonzo.  Rumor is they might trade him for #7.

Yep.  Suns also might move 6 for him.  Lonzo is a very good young player.  He won't come cheap.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

God no. Guy cannot shoot and has even more drama. Rather keep Rozier than waste anything on Ball.

Griffin is looking for players not picks so I wonder if that would appeal to him.

Smart plus one of our picks might. If we’re rebuilding you have to think about it.

Trading Smart for Ball? No way. Ball is so overrated and just an average player. Smart is going to be the guy that has to give Boston it's identity.

I must not be seeing something that everyone else is seeing. Sure he can pass but he’s like a significantly lesser Simmons, right? So like a slightly worse Rondo who can’t defend?

Yeah, something tells me that if S&T Rozier to the Pelicans were an option, AND the Pelicans valued Rozier more than Lonzo, AD would be joining Tatum next year on the Celtics. This is some fantasy land stuff.

Lonzo is actually one of the better defensive guards in the league (although overrated by some who think he's the best PG defender out there)
